Coaches and club members will be ready to assist any newcomers at the event. Event 2 of the series is this Sunday (20 Jan) starting at 5pm from Doug Dean Reserve (enter off Royale st) in Delacombe. We'll be having a picnic dinner and barbecue afterwards if you want to hang out and stay for a chat after the event. Orienteering is a sport that combines fitness with navigation. Participants use a detailed orienteering map to select their route and navigate through unfamiliar terrain, visiting control points along the way. The Ballarat map run series follows a score format. This means participants find as many controls as they like within a 45 minute time limit. Some participants run all-out to try and visit all controls, whilst others might just enjoy a stroll through the neighbourhood with their dog. contact: Roch Prendergast. email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
