2LEST WE FORGET RUNS
8km run/walk. Starts vary but approx 9am. For more details see webpage. Athletics Australia and the Returned Services League are proud to announce the "Lest We Forget Run". This event is designed to capture the ANZAC spirit and deliver a contemporary platform through which communities can show their support for the ANZAC tradition, while raising funds for an RSL-nominated charity. The "Lest We Forget Run" will be held simultaneously all over Australia, in capital cities, regional centres and country towns as a platform to celebrate and remember the ANZAC spirit. All participating events will start, at an agreed time, with a one-minute silence to be observed by all competitors and officials. The "Lest We Forget Run" will be a 5-mile / 8 kilometre event; in recognition of the distance our ANZAC heroes were required to conquer upon landing at Gallipoli. The event is targeted at family involvement and participation, offering an event that optimises Australians' involvement in healthy and enjoyable physical recreation. 4PICHI RICHI MARATHON
Marathon from Pt Augusta to Quorn, Half Marathon and 10.5 km all walk and run. Starts: Marathon: 8am, Half: 9:30 am. 10,5km 10:15am, from, Richardson Crescent, Port Augusta. Trophies for Age Group M/F winners 18-39,40-49,50-59, 60+, plus First Country Finisher. ONLY ONE TROPHY CAN BE WON PER COMPETITOR. PLUS A GENEROUS SELECTION OF RANDOM DRAW PRIZES. 22SMARTPLAY ADELAIDE 2004 MARATHON FESTIVAL
Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10 km all run/walk. Start Times: Runners 6.45 am, Walkers and >5hr runners 5.45 am. Half marathon: All competitors start 8.15 am (free buses to half marathon start leave from start point from 7:00am. 10 km: All competitors start at 8:15am am from new starting point. Location of races: Marathon start: Pinky Flat, War Memorial Drive, rear of Adelaide Oval.Half Marathon near Lockleys Bowling Club, Rutland Ave, Lockleys. 10 km start: Pinky Flat, War Memorial Drive, rear of Adelaide Oval. Prizes, Trophies, Medallions and Features. Medallions to all marathon and half marathon finishers. Certificates to all finishers. Trophies/medallions for placegetters in events both runners and walkers. Certificates to all male and female age category winners. Finisher photos. Males 12kms, Females 8kms. Starts Spring Hill, Gawler Ranges, 95 kms north of Kimba, Eyre Peninsula. Cross country team race for runners, cyclists and horse riders with over $6000 prize money on offer for 1st, 2nd & 3rd discipline winners, male & female, and best three teams. 15km, 30km or 50km. Starts from Tokuremor Reserve, Goolwa, SA at 10am. Southern Trails event is first and foremost a fundraising event with all proceeds and fundraising efforts going toward the work of Oxfam Community Aid Abroad. Starts 8am at Santos Stadium, Mile End, Adelaide. Unique 5 kilometer, traffic free course around the Torrens Outlet Canal using the paths of the Torrens Linear Park.
