Sat-Sun 25-26 Oct 12.83KM BUSH RUN CHALLENGE
Your mission, should you be tough enough to accept it is like no other challenge on the planet. Your objective, decked out in full combat gear, is to complete a Special Forces Challenge spanning 12.83km. It's completely unique, which until now has never been attempted by civilians in this manner. Each mission is designed for all levels of fitness - from the couch potato through to the fitness nut that eats iron bars for breakfast! Everyone can finish this mission, everyone does finish this mission. Mission Overview On arrival you will be issued your combat clothing and sit through a realistic mission brief of the days objective. Next you'll pick up a pack and head out on on a British Special Forces Challenge known in the military as a C.F.T. Each part of the challenge is designed to test your Agility, Strength, Stamina and Mental Determination, which are all key attributes of a modern combat soldier. Through-out the mission you will be wearing genuine Military Fatigues, pack and assault webbing. However before any Soldier can go into battle they must first understand: 1.What they have to do 2.How they're going to do it 3.What tools they have to complete the mission 4.What support is provided The course is open to anyone over 18 years of age (Male and Female). The missions cater for all levels of fitness (or unfitness!). You will be pushed to your limits and at some point feel like quitting. It then becomes a mental challenge not a physical challenge. On average Operatives complete the Special Forces Challenge in 3 hours and 30 minutes. This really is the a test of the mind and spirit!. All levels of fitness have completed the course. Operatives - Good Luck  contact: Soldier Dan. email: soldierdan@operationblackhawk.com. Visit the website for more details.

Sun 26 Oct NED KELLY CHASE 100KM ULTRAMARATHON (VIC)
Including a 50km solo, 4 x 25km relay, 100km RunNBike, 100km cycle challenge and 10km fun run, the 2014 Ned Kelly Chase embraces the true spirit of the chase and celebrates a remarkable period in our Nation's history. All events (except the 10km fun run) have variable start times that ensure entrants of all levels experience a "big" finish by aiming for a finish time of 2pm. This concept was terrific in 2013 and has been built on further for this year's event. The Ned Kelly Chase is at its heart a 100km running event. It utilises 100% sealed cycle and walking paths in North East Victoria, Australia. Its first 50km is an out and back on the World renowned Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. The second 50km is also an out and back, but on the cycle paths through Wangaratta on the banks of the Ovens River and One Mile Creeks, plus the cycle paths out through Oxley to Milawa. The RunNBike (2 runners but just 1 bicycle between them) uses the same course, as does the 4 x 25km relay and the 100km cycle challenge. The solo 50km event uses the second half of the course. The 100km cycle challenge entrants will each be provided with a random "arrest" warrant before they begin the chase. That warrant is for one of the runners on course and the troopers' task is to find the runner and make an arrest before they finish their run. The chase is on! Included in the entry fee is a high quality, fully sublimated running and cycling shirt and a ticket to the event presentations and dinner. That dinner is a sumptuous 3-course buffet affair with dishes that include ox-tail soup, mutton stew and cottage pie, wine trifle and bread and butter pudding. A myriad of delights are on offer for diners to enjoy. A 2014 event teaser has been produced and can be viewed at http://youtu.be/-unnE-ofx08 A 10km course overview is also available at http://youtu.be/1qfmAhFz1pU contact: Justin Scholz. email: justin@nedkellychase.com.au. Visit the website for more details. Click here for an entryform.

Sun 26 Oct 10KM NED KELLY CHASE (VIC)
The 10km Ned Kelly Chase is an urban trail race in Wangaratta, NE Victoria. It utilises 50% sealed cycle paths (first and last ~2.5km) and some urban trail mix with everything from wide and flat to narrow and technical. commencing at 11:00am the event forms part of the broader 100km Ned Kelly Chase and presentations in this 10km fun run are timed to then allow finishers to celebrate the arrival of the 100km finishers. The "chase" also has an 1880's themed buffet dinner after the event and this will include dishes of the period such as ox-tail soup, mutton stew and cottage pie, wine trifle and bread and butter pudding. The field is capped and entry places are expected to sell out quickly. An over view of the course is available at http://youtu.be/1qfmAhFz1pU. contact: Justin Scholz. email: justin@nedkellychase.com.au. Visit the website for more details. Click here for an entryform.
