Thu-Sun 17 Jan-17 Feb HUME BANK CITY2CITY RUN WALK (NSW)
The City2City Committee is a 100% local group who volunteer their time to create an amazing community event ensuring that all proceeds are returned to the local health service. In 2019, you have three options to take part in the Hume Bank City2City Run/Walk. You can participate in the: 10km fun run starting at 8.00am 7.5km fun run starting at 8.20am, or walk & talk starting at 8.30am All start on Dean Street, Albury City at QEII Square and incorporate Dean St, Wodonga Place, the Lincoln Causeway, Sumsion Gardens and South St and Elgin Boulevard in Wodonga, finishing at Junction Place. Participants in the 10km course have the added bonus of taking in the scenery at Gateway Island. The flat, on-road course provides for a great event for people of all fitness abilities. Water stations will be located every 2km along the course to ensure all runners and walkers are well hydrated throughout this event. See course maps for water station locations or print off the course route PDF for reference. St Johns Ambulance Australia will provide first aid assistance and ambulance services for the Hume Bank City2City RunWalk with a First Aid crew posted at the Start Area and the Finish Area as well as a mobile response crew en route. Mon 25 Feb WANGARATTA MARATHON AND FUN RUN/WALKS M/HM/10/5/2 (VIC)
The Wangaratta Marathon and Fun Runs is bought to you by Justin and Sharon Scholz of Wangaratta Fitness Fun Addicts. The event motto says it all - "More people moving more often". Entry prices for this event are much less than their counterparts and we take pride in that. We arent looking for big profits, but we are unashamedly looking to draw people to Wangaratta to enjoy the beautiful path networks and environmental surrounds of our thriving rural city. We secretly hope that we can encourage people to engage more in physical happiness and become more active than they were before joining our event. We measure success on entry numbers, total distance covered by entrants and return entries in future years. Sat-Sun 2-3 Mar BAW BAW TRAIL FEST (VIC)
The Mount Baw Baw Trail Fest is set in the picturesque alpine village of Mount Baw Baw in the Victorian Alps and offers great Alpine running over 2 days. The courses offered provide a range of run distances (1/4/7/15/21/36/44km) for entry level runners right up to the more experienced trail runner, offering opportunities for mum, dad and the kids to get out and get a feel for this pristine alpine environment. Short course distances of 1/4/7 km on the Sunday are great for the kids and those just wanting to stretch their legs along scenic walking trails. For the more experienced, the 15 km, 21 km, 36 km and 44 km courses take in more challenging and historic runs through the Baw Baw National Park to Mt St Gwinear and Mushroom Rocks. Soak up the pristine alpine environment and challenge yourself to run at an altitude above 1,500 metres. This classic Alpine run offers three challenging distances in some of the most spectacular country in Victoria�s Alpine National Park. Razorback Ridge/High Plains Run. The 64 km Razorback Ridge run takes in the entire length of the Razorback to offer some of the most stunning ridge running and scenery in the Australian Alps 64 km of pure Alpine pleasure and pain with stunning scenery. Possibly the most stunning and spectacular run of its kind in Victoria - a must for the hardened runner. Razorback Circuit�40 km, a great run up Bungalow Spur, to the summit of Mt Feathertop, Victoria�s second highest mountain and Australia�s only true alpine peak then across the Razorback and down Bon Accord Spur. This is a delightful day out up to the summit of Mt Feathertop and back along the Razorback. Register as a team or do it solo � your mission is to run or hike laps of a hill until your total vertical ascent is over 8,848m, the height of Mt Everest above sea-level. You may participate as a solo starting on the Friday at 6 pm and finishing on Saturday or as part of a team covering the distance together or in relay, starting on the Saturday morning. Sat-Sun 13-14 Apr THE AUSTRALIAN RUNNING FESTIVAL (INCL CANBERRA MARATHON)
The Canberra Times Australian Running Festival presented by TATA Consulting Services in Canberra has 5km, 10km, Half Marathon, Marathon and 50km Ultra Marathon events from Saturday, 13 April to Sunday, 14 April 2019. The festival is held over two days with the 5km and 10km on Saturday and the longer distances on Sunday. The Marathon is a circuit around Canberra taking in the sights of Parliament House and Lake Burley Griffin.
