Sat 23 Feb DYE HARD COLOUR FUN RUN - SUSSEX INLET (NSW)
Join us in Sussex Inlet for the inaugural Dye Hard Colour Fun Run along the picturesque waterfront, whilst raising vital funds for Careflight. The event will cover approx 3.5km between Badgee Bridge in the north and Chris Creek Bridge in the south. Participants can run, walk or stroll their way along the course and enjoy lot of fun, music and colour. Participants will set off from 10am from near the Sussex Inlet Marine Centre and head in a northerly direction towards Badgee Bridge, upon reaching this location participants will turn around and head in a southerly direction towards Chris Bridge, before once again turning around and returning to the starting point for the finish line party. At the finish line party there will be live entertainment, fabulous food to purchase and amusement rides. Mon 25 Feb WANGARATTA MARATHON AND FUN RUN/WALKS M/HM/10/5/2 (VIC)
The Wangaratta Marathon and Fun Runs is bought to you by Justin and Sharon Scholz of Wangaratta Fitness Fun Addicts. The event motto says it all - "More people moving more often". Entry prices for this event are much less than their counterparts and we take pride in that. We arent looking for big profits, but we are unashamedly looking to draw people to Wangaratta to enjoy the beautiful path networks and environmental surrounds of our thriving rural city. We secretly hope that we can encourage people to engage more in physical happiness and become more active than they were before joining our event. We measure success on entry numbers, total distance covered by entrants and return entries in future years. Sat-Sun 2-3 Mar BAW BAW TRAIL FEST (VIC)
The Mount Baw Baw Trail Fest is set in the picturesque alpine village of Mount Baw Baw in the Victorian Alps and offers great Alpine running over 2 days. The courses offered provide a range of run distances (1/4/7/15/21/36/44km) for entry level runners right up to the more experienced trail runner, offering opportunities for mum, dad and the kids to get out and get a feel for this pristine alpine environment. Short course distances of 1/4/7 km on the Sunday are great for the kids and those just wanting to stretch their legs along scenic walking trails. For the more experienced, the 15 km, 21 km, 36 km and 44 km courses take in more challenging and historic runs through the Baw Baw National Park to Mt St Gwinear and Mushroom Rocks. Soak up the pristine alpine environment and challenge yourself to run at an altitude above 1,500 metres. This classic Alpine run offers three challenging distances in some of the most spectacular country in Victoria�s Alpine National Park. Razorback Ridge/High Plains Run. The 64 km Razorback Ridge run takes in the entire length of the Razorback to offer some of the most stunning ridge running and scenery in the Australian Alps 64 km of pure Alpine pleasure and pain with stunning scenery. Possibly the most stunning and spectacular run of its kind in Victoria - a must for the hardened runner. Razorback Circuit�40 km, a great run up Bungalow Spur, to the summit of Mt Feathertop, Victoria�s second highest mountain and Australia�s only true alpine peak then across the Razorback and down Bon Accord Spur. This is a delightful day out up to the summit of Mt Feathertop and back along the Razorback. You may participate as a solo starting on the Friday at 6 pm and finishing on Saturday or as part of a team covering the distance together or in relay, starting on the Saturday morning. Sat-Sun 13-14 Apr THE AUSTRALIAN RUNNING FESTIVAL (INCL CANBERRA MARATHON)
The Canberra Times Australian Running Festival presented by TATA Consulting Services in Canberra has 5km, 10km, Half Marathon, Marathon and 50km Ultra Marathon events from Saturday, 13 April to Sunday, 14 April 2019. The festival is held over two days with the 5km and 10km on Saturday and the longer distances on Sunday. The Marathon is a circuit around Canberra taking in the sights of Parliament House and Lake Burley Griffin. The YMCA Canberra Runners Club (YCRC) is proud to announce their 50th YMCA Canberra Half Marathon will be held on 26 May 2019. Whether your 2019 goals include running your first half, setting a PB or being first across the line, the YMCA Canberra Half Marathon is your ideal race. Held at the end of May you will have plenty of time to train. One way to help achieve your goals is to join the YCRC Half Marathon Training Group, this is a great option for those who are new to the sport or wanting to meet like-minded people. The YMCA Canberra Half Marathon course traces the shore of Lake Burley Griffin in the heart of Canberra with lots of beautiful scenery to keep you company along the way.
