Sun 24 Sep SRI CHINMOY CANBERRA TRAIL ULTRA (103KM)
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Centenary 100km trail run was staged in 2013. With Canberra now 104 years old, in 2017 the event grows to 104km. Starting and finishing from The Rond Terraces, the route explores Parliament House, Red Hill, Isaacs Ridge, Farrer Ridge, Mt Taylor, Mt Arawang, Cooleman Ridge, Stromlo Forest Park, the National Arboretum, Cork Oaks, Aranda Bushland, Black Mountain Reserve, Mt Majura, Mt Ainslie and Lake Burley Griffin. Sun 24 Sep SRI CHINMOY 104 KM TRAIL ULTRA
Originally staged as a 100km race to commemorate the Centenary of Canberra in 2013, this unique run is a celebration of our "Natural Capital" – part adventure, part scenic tour and part epic endurance challenge. Sat 7 Oct HOUNSLOW CLASSIC - 68KM ULTRA SKYMARATHON (NSW)
68km through the coveted trails in the Grose Valley, Blue Mountains. Runners start at the amazing private Allview Escapes property and make their way through 68km of tough and challenging single trail taking in the Grand Canyon, Blue Gum Forrest, Perrys Lookdown and Lockleys Pylon. This Ultra is not for the faint hearted. The event was voted the toughest Ultra in Australia in 2016 by Ultra168. A strictly limited numbers event - runners starts and finish at the amazing private property which is Allview Escapes in Blackheath and take in the single trails of the Grand Canyon. Sat-Sun 14-15 Oct HUME & HOVELL ULTRA (NSW)
100 Mile, 100 Km, 50 Km and 22 Km Run/Walk on a section of the historic Hume and Hovell Walking Track. Start/Finish at Henry Angel Trackhead, 9 Km south of Tumbarumba on the Tooma road. The course is a mixture of constructed walking track, 90% single trail and the rest is fire trails. Drop bags, electronic timing, medals and certificates for all finishers. Generous cut off times to encourage people to come out an enjoy the area. Elevation of 4088 metres with varying degrees of difficulty, beautiful scenery, dams, waterfalls, gold mining relics and wild brumbies. Fri-Sun 17-19 Nov GREAT SOUTHERN ENDURANCE RUN - 100 MILER - TEAMS (VIC)
A 100 mile endurance run like no other in the southern hemisphere. Starting in the ski township of Mt Buller, just 2.5hrs drive from Melbourne International Airport and with a downhill start � the Great Southern Endurance Run takes on the rugged and picturesque mountains and trails throughout the Victorian Alps. Runners climb over 9400m and descent 10,600m in their quest to get to the finish line in the picturesque township of Bright, Victoria. This event has been designed to be the gem of 100 miler events in the southern hemisphere. The point to point journey is epic, the trails are predominantly single trail and the historical Australian Alps Walking Trail is used for parts of the course.
