| Sun | 2 Jun | 39TH ANNUAL GREAT NOSH FOOTRACE (NSW) Run or walk on a traffic-free course from Lindfield Oval via Roseville Bridge to Seaforth Oval through some of Sydney's most spectacular bushland. The course is 15km, mostly on bush tracks and fire trails, with some steep sections. Now in its 39th year! Proceeds from the event go to the Association to assist in running our sport. Venue Start at Lindfield Oval, Tryon Road, East Lindfield. Finish at Seaforth Oval, Wakehurst Parkway, Bantry Bay. Time 10-00am start Classes Male/Female, Run/Walk, and a range of age categories. | Sun | 30 Jun | CAREFLIGHT WOODFORD TO GLENBROOK CLASSIC 2013 (NSW) This year's CareFlight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic will attract over 1000 entrants to run or ride the Oaks Fire Trail through the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park from the town of Woodford down to the Euroka Clearing near Glenbrook. Covering 25km of undulating bushland, the trail is incredibly scenic and a must for keen mountain bikers and trail runners. Participants are supported the full length of the track by Rural Fire Service crews stationed along the way, providing First Aid and drinks. A CareFlight doctor and St John Ambulance volunteers will also be in support. The event will finish with a community fair-style reception in the beautiful Euroka Clearing. Families are welcome to join in the fun with activities for the kids, food stalls and displays throughout the day. Mountain bike riders start from 9am and runners start from 10am. Exact start times and transport and parking details will be advised closer to the event. Registration is just $45 for adults and $20 for juniors, which only covers the cost of conducting the event. Money raised by entrants through donations and fundraising activities helps to fund the services of CareFlight. Each entrant is asked to assist with this. Teams and individuals are welcome to enter. | Sat-Sun | 6-7 Jul | GOLD COAST AIRPORT MARATHON (QLD) The 35th annual Gold Coast Airport Marathon will be staged on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July 2013 in one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world in Queensland, Australia. Regarded as one of Australia's premier sporting events, the Gold Coast Airport Marathon is set to attract more than 28,000 participants of all ages and abilities from Queensland, interstate and overseas. The race program offers something for everyone, with the full 42.195km Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km Run, 5.7km Challenge and the Junior Dash 4km and 2km races. The Gold Coast Airport Marathon course is renowned worldwide for being flat, fast and scenic, running alongside the beautiful Broadwater and sparkling surf beaches. The climate is traditionally good for running, with low humidity, no wind and mild temperatures, creating great conditions to achieve a personal best time. All finishers will be rewarded with a commemorative medal and certificate, plus a shirt or cap. There is also the opportunity for participants to fundraise for the event's official charity, Cancer Council Queensland, or another charity of their choice. | Sun | 7 Jul | GERALDTON RUNFEST 2013 (INCLUDING THE 14TH ANNUAL GERALDTON MARATHON) (WA) Geraldton Harriers will host its 14th annual marathon and half marathon as part of Run Fest 2013 this July. It will be based at the Geraldton Foreshore and the course will extend along Champion Bay, St Georges Beach, Chapman River, Pages Beach and Point Moore. Last year's event attracted 137 participants from all across WA, interstate and overseas but we are working very hard on delivering a highly patronized, professionally run and inclusive event with major prizes on offer. The course is predominantly held on the Westlink M7 Shared Pathway from Prestons (Liverpool City Local Government Area) and finishes at Blacktown International Sports Park Athletics Stadium, Rooty Hill. The Marathon course is IAAF/AIMS Certified and is supported by the Marathon Relay Challenge (21.1km x 2 Runners) and the Kids Marathon Series (2.195km).
