The Carrum Coast Guard Around the River Fun Run is a 12km and 6km fun run around Patterson River in Patterson Lakes, Victoria. There will also be a full range of family entertainment including free 350m kids run; BBQ food for sale: bacon, eggs, sausages and onions; and great prizes for winners. The Sri Chinmoy Sydney Series for 2017 starts with one of the most beautiful courses you will find anywhere: the secluded haven of Mirambeena Regional Reserve in Georges Hall, with options of 16km, 8km and 2 miles (3.2km). This challenging and satisfying course wends its way through natural bushland adjoining Prospect Creek and the Georges River, with a few decent hills for good measure. We hope you enjoy your morning and make these runs a regular highlight of your calendar. Park off Beatty Parade, which is off Henry Lawson Drive, at the southern end of Mirambeena Regional Reserve. The O'Keefe Rail Trail Marathon runs along the historic rail trail that joins Bendigo to Heathcote. The surface is suitable for both trail runners or also road runners and similar to the famous tan track in Melbourne. Fast times were run in the inaugural event last year. Set on the grounds of Werribee Mansion and Werribee Park, The MyPhysio Werribee Mansion Run starts and finishes on the lawns of the magnificent Werribee Mansion. 29th Geelong Half Marathon at 8:00 a.m. and 7 km run at 8:30 a.m. Easily found under the Moorabool Street Bridge in Geelong with plenty of nearby parking. There is over $3500 in prizes as well as additional spot prizes. As in past years, there is a $200 bonus for anyone breaking the open records. Entry is online ONLY through our website www.gccc.asn.au or https://www.registernow.com.au . There are spot prizes of running shoes for early entries. Entries close Saturday April 22, 2017 (at MIDDAY). Adult entry is $55, Australian Health Card holders and under 18, $40. An additional feature is a 7 km run starting at 8:30am. Entry fee for this run is $25 for adults and Australian Health Card holders and under 18, $20. On-line entries are available now. Entry numbers will be capped at 1200 and a race time cut-off will apply. Cut-off is 50 minutes at 7 km and 1 hour 45 minutes at 14 km. The Cleland Trails on the 23rd of April include three sub-events, measuring approximately 25km, 12 km and 6 km. The first is for runners 16 years and older only and is the championship event. The shorter sub-events are for runners and walkers of any age. Enjoy racing along the wooded slopes of Mt Lofty, with views down rugged valleys and beyond as far as the sea. Cycle, run or walk along parts of the picturesque Avon River edge, the Kep Track, the Railway Heritage Trail and John Forrest National Park to the finish line at the Swanview Railway Station. Choose your distance from 22km, 50km or 75km. This is a unique event which is a great physical challenge in a scenic part of Western Australia, and all for a great cause to raise funds for The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (MSWA). A trail running "taster" at Canberra's original family playground, the Cotter. The Series starts with a moderate-grade 5km course (the 10km completes 2 laps) comprising a paved loop on the "Cotter Dam Discovery Trail" in the shadow of Cotter Dam, followed by a contrasting loop on walking tracks and fire trails with a river crossing, a hill and a sandy beach – a bit of everything. Our fun run is to help raise awareness and funds of neuroblastoma childhood cancer. There is a certified and timed 10km run which takes place around the Domain taking in views of the Opera House and the Royal Botanic Gardens. There is also a timed 5km and timed 3km fun run suitable also for school children. There is a 1km fun walk for children 5 and under - pushchairs welcome.
