The Jabulani Challenge is a stunning trail run and charity fundraiser through the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park in the north of Sydney. Predominantly on single track the trail has everything to offer from waterside tracks, rainforest, bushland, steep hill inclines and creek crossings, it is hard to believe you are only 30 minutes from the heart of Sydney. Join us and experience some of the most spectacular alpine trail running within close proximity of Melbourne. This superb run is one of Victoria's classic alpine runs, 3 distances - 45/36/22 km covering superb scenery taking in the beautiful Delatite River, the historic Klingsporn Track, majestic Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and the historic Craig's Hut. Take in views across to some of Victoria's great alpine scenery, the Crosscut saw, Mt Speculation, Mt Buggery, Hells Window and Mt Magdala. Set in the heart of Victoria's high country the Mount Buller Skyrun is one of the most amazing high altitude runs that Australia has to offer. The Mount Buller Skyrun offers three unique runs: 22 km introductory trail run from Mount Buller to Mount Stirling and back. 36 km mid distance course from Mount Buller to Mount Stirling and then a quad busting descent to the Delatite River before a gut wrenching 1200 m climb to the summit of Mount Buller. 45 km ultra course which takes in Mount Stirling, Craigs Hut, great views over the Crosscut Saw and the Bluff, a scenic jog along the banks of the Delatite River and a final crushing climb to the summit of Mount Buller itself before an exhilarating 2 km descent to the finish line. The Kathmandu Neverest Challenge is on again! This vertical test of endurance requires a solo participant or a team to ascend and descend the same track until they complete the equivalent of the height of Everest (9000 m) above sea level. The Margaret River Ultra Marathon boasts 80 kilometres of magnificent trail running through one of Australia's most beautiful regions; Margaret River in south-west Western Australia. It will take runners on a journey through a diverse range of breathtaking landscapes, starting at Hamelin Bay in the south and finishing at the Cheeky Monkey Brewery and Cidery at Wilyabrup in the north, on 5th May 2018. The 80km point to point course can be completed by solo runners or relay teams of up to five people who each run a different leg of the route. Along the way the competitors will traverse an incredible range of landscapes including awe-inspiring Karri tree forests, cliff top trails with endless ocean views, white sandy beaches, quaint coastal villages and rolling hinterland terrain. Runners from across Australia and overseas are expected to travel to Margaret River for this extraordinary event which has been designed as an achievable challenge for all levels, from elites through to trail running newcomers who can divide the 80km distance into a relay with the five different legs varying between 10km and 20km. Located in the rural hamlet of Wamboin, just 20 km east of Canberra, the Kowen Trail Run will see competitors run across the border into Kowen Forest in the ACT to participate in either a marathon, half marathon or 12 km course. The event is open to all levels of trail running experience. The courses are challenging, well marked and have spectacular views of Canberra and surrounds. The Dungog Dash and Dawdle is a cross country fun run which showcases the stunning hills and valleys of Dungog, the beautiful and historic Dungog Common. It is the key fundraiser of much-needed funds for the Dungog Shire Community Centre, the hub for all things community in the region. There is a 21 km half marathon trail run, 12km dash, 6km dawdle, Kids Dash or Dawdle (12 years and under) and a Doggy Half. A member of the Association of International Marathons & Road Races (AIMS), the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon and Community Running Festival is one of the most-loved running festivals in Australia. Since its inception the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon has raised over $1.3 million for charity and community groups. Located on the stunning Sunshine Coast, Queensland an hour's drive north of Brisbane this not-for-profit event has been timed to make the most of the ideal Queensland winter running conditions. Blue skies, low humidity and mild temperatures combined with a flat course always enable fast times. The course record currently stands at 2:18:30 set by Ethiopian, Samuel Woldemanuel in 2015. Event distances include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km and the 2km. Each road race follows the stunning coastline of Alexandra Headlands with white sandy beaches and spectacular vantage points alongside the ocean. The Half Marathon is a one loop course with Marathon entrants completing a multi loop course (1 x 21km + 2 x 10.5kms) making the most of the on-course entertainment and crowds of spectators before a red carpet -hero- finish. With a distance to suit every ability and age group, this community-focused, world-class athletic event caters to all those wanting to take part, including families and those with both physical and intellectual disabilities. The 2km event allows parents with prams and wheelchair entrants to take part and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
