The GC50 Run Festival on Sunday, 9 December 2018 has 50km, 30km, 15km and 5km races and a 2x25km relay in Broadbeach, Queensland. The 50km is from Kurrawa to Coolangatta and back; the 30km from Kurrawa to Currumbin and back; the 15km from Kurrawa to Burleigh and back; and the 5 km along Hedges Avenue to Seaside Avenue and return. The run course is on either footpath or roadway, not on the beach. This is one of a handful of officially accredited AIMS-IAAF certified 50 km road races in Australia. We arent looking for big profits, but we are unashamedly looking to draw people to Wangaratta to enjoy the beautiful path networks and environmental surrounds of our thriving rural city. The Six Foot Track is a 45km trail stretching across the Blue Mountains from The Explorers' Marked Tree, near Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. The marathon started in 1984 and follows the length of the entire trail. The race is a fundraiser for the Rural Fire Service and is organised by the Six Foot Track Marathon Incorporated, an association that is affiliated with and supported by Sydney Striders Running Club. The Jabulani Challenge is a stunning trail run through the Ku-Ring-Gai National Park in the north of Sydney. Predominantly on single track the trail has everything to offer from waterside tracks, rainforest, bushland, steep hill inclines and creek crossings. Exploring some of the hidden waterways that Pittwater is famous for its hard to believe you are only 30 minutes from the heart of Sydney. With three distances to choose from the event caters for hardened trail runners to social walkers. The 7 Rocky River Run raises funds to address youth mental health issues and the prevention of youth suicide as well as supporting young families that need to travel to Brisbane for life saving surgery and treatment that is not available in central Queensland. The Coastal Classic is a 30km trail run along one of the most stunning tracks in Australia, it has everything to offer from rocky terrain, sand running and beaches, to cliff-tops, bushland, rainforest and steep hill inclines. The scenery is spectacular with breathtaking coastal views on the beach and from the cliff tops. You literally feel like you are a million miles from anywhere. Set amid one of Australia’s oldest and wildest coastal terrains, in fact it is the world’s second oldest national park (after Yellowstone in the U.S), the Coastal Classic is a trail run along the Coast Track from Otford to Bundeena. With 29km of trails, beaches, sand and rainforest – this race has a little bit of everything with great views to top it off!
