Sun 20 Jan BALLARAT MAP RUN 2 - DELACOMBE (VIC)
The map run events are a great opportunity to run around and explore parts of Ballarat that you would never otherwise visit. Coaches and club members will be ready to assist any newcomers at the event. Event 2 of the series is this Sunday (20 Jan) starting at 5pm from Doug Dean Reserve (enter off Royale st) in Delacombe. We'll be having a picnic dinner and barbecue afterwards if you want to hang out and stay for a chat after the event. Orienteering is a sport that combines fitness with navigation. Participants use a detailed orienteering map to select their route and navigate through unfamiliar terrain, visiting control points along the way. The Ballarat map run series follows a score format. This means participants find as many controls as they like within a 45 minute time limit. Some participants run all-out to try and visit all controls, whilst others might just enjoy a stroll through the neighbourhood with their dog. contact: Roch Prendergast. email: roch.prendergast@iinet.net.au. Visit the website for more details. Click here for an entryform.

Sat-Sun 23-24 Nov ADVENTURETHON CLARENCE VALLEY STAGE EVENT (NSW)
For some time we have wanted to put on an event with every leg being a stunner in its own right, with no need to compromise on quality. We often found that there were people who would love to do 1 discipline but not all of them and that finding teammates was kind of a hard process if they werent already part of the multisport circles. Hence the evolution of the Adventurethon Demolish Format onto the scene. Demolish is essentially an Adventurethon event which has been pulled apart to create 3 stand alone individual races, with times that can be tallied together in a stage race format at the end to find an overall champion. However, it can also can be raced as a team, in pairs, or simply just attempt your favourite leg. The Clarence Valley event will feature an amazing tour of the area taking in some challenging but fun mountain biking, adventure running and paddling over 2 days. Bring your family and mates and settle in for some great camping and entertainment with seriously easy logistics and a warm, country atmosphere at the heart of the weekend. For the most up-to-date information regarding event regularly check out our website: https://adventurethon.com.au/event/clarence-valley-nsw/ contact: Adventure Australia 0447496489. email: admin@adventurethon.com.au. Visit the website for more details. Click here for an entryform.
