The Bayside Fun Run in honour of local Olympian Albie Thomas is on again this year and will be held on Sunday, 27th May. The course follows the foreshore around Botany Bay giving the opportunity for a flat and fast run. There are two runs: 2km at 8:30 am 5km at 9:00 am Both runs start in Peter Depena Reserve at Dolls Point. The 2018 B&E Tasmanian Running Festival, incorporating the B&E Launceston Ten, a 5k, and the popular kids 2k. This year's race will start and finish in Launceston's City Park. Starting at the historic Sydney Rocks area, the 10k course is a one lap loop which hugs the Harbour foreshore to ensure spectacular views throughout. The 5k takes in some of Sydney's most beautiful sights. This 16 kilometre point-to-point race is incorporated in the Mowbray National Park within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. It starts at the top of the Bump on Black Mountain Road close to Jullaten and travels through native rainforest and over picturesque creeks. The finish is on Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas. The tropical rainforest is home to the endangered southern cassowary, a flightless bird that can grow to two metres in height - you might see one! The Sri Chinmoy Sydney Series for 2018 continues with one of the most beautiful courses you will find anywhere: the secluded haven of Mirambeena Regional Reserve in Georges Hall, with options of 16km, 8km and 2 miles (3.2km). This challenging and satisfying course wends its way through natural bushland adjoining Prospect Creek and the Georges River, with a few decent hills for good measure. We hope you enjoy your morning.
