|Sat||2 Feb||CRADLE MOUNTAIN ULTRA RUN
The Cradle Mt Run is a one day traverse of Tasmanian’s famous Cradle Mt to Lake St Clair Overland Track. The altitude of the track in several areas of the plateau is greater than 1,000 metres, which by world standards is not high, but here is well above the tree line. This low tree line illustrates the exposure and harshness of conditions that can prevail even in summer. The Mount Baw Baw Trail Fest is set in the picturesque alpine village of Mount Baw Baw in the Victorian Alps and offers great Alpine running over 2 days. The courses offered provide a range of run distances (1/4/7/15/21/36/44km) for entry level runners right up to the more experienced trail runner, offering opportunities for mum, dad and the kids to get out and get a feel for this pristine alpine environment. Short course distances of 1/4/7 km on the Sunday are great for the kids and those just wanting to stretch their legs along scenic walking trails. For the more experienced, the 15 km, 21 km, 36 km and 44 km courses take in more challenging and historic runs through the Baw Baw National Park to Mt St Gwinear and Mushroom Rocks. This classic Alpine run offers three challenging distances in some of the most spectacular country in Victoria�s Alpine National Park. Razorback Ridge/High Plains Run. The 64 km Razorback Ridge run takes in the entire length of the Razorback to offer some of the most stunning ridge running and scenery in the Australian Alps 64 km of pure Alpine pleasure and pain with stunning scenery. Possibly the most stunning and spectacular run of its kind in Victoria - a must for the hardened runner. Razorback Circuit�40 km, a great run up Bungalow Spur, to the summit of Mt Feathertop, Victoria�s second highest mountain and Australia�s only true alpine peak then across the Razorback and down Bon Accord Spur. This is a delightful day out up to the summit of Mt Feathertop and back along the Razorback.
