Uuugh!

Well, I haven't exactly made the great return-to-running that I suggested in the last blog post. In fact, I've only run three times in that 10 days (18,10,8 km). Which puts me 30 behind on my whole "average 5km/day" thing.

Been finding motivation really hard recently - with no running buddy, and life and stuff getting in the way.

I find that I have to stick to things 100% - I know people say take a rest day if you feel a bit tired etc. but I know that with me as soon as I get out of a routine I find it hard to get back again.

So far I have stuck to running on a regular basis this year but missed a few sessions in the gym (valid reasons) but now need to get into a routine of going again.

Get yourself started again and back into a routine and you will be fine.

Thanks for the feedback, and I totally agree!  It was much easier when I was running with my buddies 3 days/week, but one moved away, and one got lazy.  But I should be able to motivate myself, anyway!

I set the alarm for 0500 this morning, but when it went off I was too cold and tired to get up and run - LAZY. I should have gone to bed earlier - that seems to be the factor that, almost without exception, stops me getting up to run. I'll go buy a headlamp today, so I can see where I'm going - sometimes spending money makes me go out and "justify" it by running, hahah.
