What are the chances of a Group A1 runner getting a last minute entry?
I was caught out by the closure of C2S entries Friday- especially as there has never been a limit on the field.
A rant is futile and yes, I could have entered earlier.
Just focussing on any possible solutions.
eg Do organisers allow for the inevitable no shows and allow a few entries on the day. (Yes, I read the "No entries on the day" part but I'm clutching at straws)
Probably a lost cause but had put in a lot of training, hoping to get back to preferred status for next year.
Hmm, could be a need to apply the vice-like grip of unshakeable logic? (Wish that were my line)
To those who have entered, good luck with your goals and I know you'll enjoy the day.
Thanks in advance

There have been limits before, and on the day entries were dropped a few years ago. With 63,000+ entries, the organisers feel that there was enough warning and opportunity to enter.... So, to get a preferred start next year you will have to run a 36 min 10k on a certified course by June next year - and oh yes, enter
