A few times today I have received the error message:

    IPS Driver Error
There appears to be an error with the database.
You can try to refresh the page by clicking here

After a while I can refresh and the page loads fine.  Is anyone else having problems?

You are better off logging a ticket than starting a thread about it.

Yep - me too. The curious thing is when it has happened I can connect from my PDA but not my desktop?

Cheers, 2P

Yes I noticed it yesterday (but generally only when I had 6+ CR windows open at once).
FPT is right - flag it to us separately (info@coolrunning.com.au) for any errors.
Debugging this sort of stuff is quite hard - we have a very high limit set on our databases and we didn't have a particulary high level of users at the time. We will monitor and see how it goes.

When I hit refresh on the page, in general it worked first time (and I was behind a particulary oppresssive & crap corporate firewall that is flaky as buggery), so it was no great drama. Would be interested to hear from people if they absolutely could not get pages loaded.

Haven't see it today ....

It seemed to be particulary bad around 5pm last night 15/08.

I probably had 30-40 tabs open at the time pointed to CR, which is normal for me.

I saw the error a couple of times show up in the add new post or edit screen window, and then also a few times whilst refreshing Tabs where the whole screen would redirect to the IPS driver error.

All good today though, and I still have the same windows (refreshed) plus more open.

Someone must have "switched it off then on again".

yestreday and today, with only 1 tab open.

I simply assumed that the server has huge overload, when the whole world is trying to log onto CR to read competent comments on olympics.

How do you think we obsessive compulsives coped?

How do you think we saviless users faired?  What is an ips driver?  What sort of truck is that?

I rang the nice people down at the internet and gave them an earful.    Come to think of it I didn't wait to make sure I had the correct number.  Oh shit I hope it was the people down at the internet.  Anyway I fixed it.  It's working today. Where's my invoice book?

I recall that it said that the site had more users trying to log than the site owner's site could cope with.  It even named KT.
I hammered the refresh button but no results.  I thought C2S viewers would overload things.

Happens to me occasionally. I actually get time outs more often though. I usually just hit refresh until it comes back then forget about it.

I got one last night(My first), but when I came back a few minutes later, it wasn't a problem.

Is it just an 'Overload' issue, when too many of us are logged on?

I've been getting this quite a lot in the past few days on my laptop, my desktop and at work so not related to one computer or one ISP/IP address
