Hey BB, you don't actually think I go out on the M7 do you? I just pore water over myself to make it look like I've been running and then go straight to the cafe!

Next time we'll speed things up and order a jug of water at McKels.
See you either tonight at track, Friday Twilight, Saturday Hoofers... etc etc

Got a lift off nite_time_runner & mouse or mouse & nite_time_runner depending who is telling the story.
Thankfully the weather held out for the group as Blues Buffett mentioned.
Good to see some new runners and welcome back to some familar faces.

Another great turn up today. BB arrived with the new Circa M7 running singlets and running shirts and the runners that wore them all looked very smart. Thanks to BB & associates for organising this. Great to see Freezer out on the bike in his very colourful bright green cycling top doing a great job as lead bike, so much so that he disappeared into the distance not to be seen for some time.
Undoubtedly the monthly photo will appear here shortly showing a happy smiling bunch of runners in post recovery mode.
This is a great monthly event and I urge any runners that want to try something different to pop out next month have a run with us.You will be made most welcome. The icononclastic figure of BB does a great job organising this .Hope to see you there.
Cheers

Very good turnout. Weather never considered to rain.
Ran with BluesBuffett and Georgegd. BB & my pace went up a couple of notches to keep up with Georgegd. Didn't stop our conversation. We let him go for the last few kms. Maybe he upped the tempo to get away from our talking.
Nice seeing Freezer after his knee issues. However he rode his bike until his knee settles. His Old Fox bike shirt was very bright as slowmc mentioned. BTW, Freezer was spotted in Woolworths after breakie with Mrs P.B Freezer. Didn't know that Freezer knew that supermarkets existed.
Also nice seeing Boney Chic having a walk after her recent hiccup.
Breakfast was first class. Discussion about bang for your buck. Sorry, aria, we are happy with our choice.
Till next month.

I am relatively new to running and live in this area. I have been running solo but would love to meet some others to run with.
Can I just turn up to the next run ? Or, do I need to let someone know?
Cheers . . . .

All you need to do is just turn up shortly before 7.15am next Sunday 18/3 at the above ground car park at Circa and you will see a bunch of runners just standing around having a chat. The organiser, Blues Buffet usually makes a note of who shows up for his records so he knows whose out there having a run on the day and to have an idea of how many are likely to stay afterwards for a brekky/refreshments at Cafe McKels. They are pretty friendly bunch and you'll be made most welcome. Hope you can make it.
Cheers

MoreTortoiseThanHare was made to feel very welcome.
Had a good solid run.
Weather looked after us.
We had over 20 runners / cyclists & family attend the post race breakfast.

We had three sports represented: running (13), walking (3), cycling (5).
Cyclists: Freezer, Photogirl, John from Photogirl's work, DonnaB, Our Dog Scruff
Walkers: KiwiShazza, Dutchy, Emjay
Runners: me, Thomo, Sonja - all 12k; Georgegd (33k); Craigus (22k); KGold (22k); Joal, Stem (more than 12k!); Princess Odette; Slowmc, MoreTortoiseThanHare - both 9k; Smardy, BonyChic
Late scratchings were Crazycatwoman (ill) and Fred (St Patrick's Day indulgence). Regular KatieR was noticably absent too.
After yesterday morning's downpour, today's weather was excellent for getting outdoors. McKels looked after the 23 breakfasters very well; I think we took all of their outdoor tables & chairs. As usual, good conversation flowed and Thomo was back to his sparkling best.
Big welcome to new runner MTTH. Hope you can make this a regular run!
Thanks everyone, you're a great group. Next month's run is Sunday 29/04/2012 starting 7:30am. See you there!
cheers, BB

Chat and a run is only surpassed by the get together after.
Hope to be there for both.

Pity for OurDog Scruff who started early or shot off to test his knee, as he missed me wearing my pot black gloves.
There were runners of all standards. Running for same and different reasons.
Runners tapering for Gold Coast next weekend. Runners getting their km's in for M7 marathon/ relay.
Runners deciding if they are going to the Gold Coast.
Freezer, cycling and dishing it out at the breakfast table.
Nice catching up with everyone after the run and staying for beakfast.
Very educational too, as I learnt some new words from KGold.
BTW we do have a Facebook page. If you want to join please put your CoolRunning name as well as your real name. Some requests BB gets, leaves us collectively scratching our heads to who the person is and if they really interested in our group for the right reasons.

Circular Shopping Centre start and finish location has toilets always a plus.
slowmc and I will probably have a discussion about last week's Ujohn Park, slightly tough course.
There will also be post/ pre/ commiseration half marathon / marathon talk re Gold Coast & M7 / Cities.
We have people running from about 6km to 20 + km. Most popular distance is 10km. The longer distance people will meet much earlier so that they don't miss out on the post run breakfast at McKells. If you want a longer run, post either here or on the FB page to see if anyone is running long this month.

Please let me know (here or on FB), for catering purposes, if you'll be going. I know SMC is having a trial run through that morning so some regulars may be at Smithfield.
For those unaware, there is a big cycle event this weekend on the M7 shared path; the path will be closed much of the weekend. An alternative route will be required, and we will be able to use the Bella Vista one we ran along when the M7 was closed about two years ago.
This is the route:

The first M7 Circa run of 2013 is on tomorrow 13/01/13. Same place, same time for breakfast. If you're not on Facebook please let me know via PM if you're coming.
We're expecting a big turnout. The weather should be a bit milder than recent weekend mornings!
The wiki is here
