Well a little late to post my first entry for 2011 but hey it's still January!
I've done 85 km or so this last week, 287km for the month, so feeling a hell of a lot fitter than when I started the month overweight and just generally feeling bleagh from the December overindulgences. Celebrated NYE with Rach and Mr InAus and Mr Sook at the 9pm fireworks on the Cahill Expressway and after a last slice of Pav continued our NYE tradition of being asleep before midnight. It was supposed to be a dry January but somehow that slipped a bit last weekend when my lovely sis and partner came to visit.
Runningwise was among the first to run across the new Iron Cove bridge on Saturday morning (well we got nearly all the way across before heading back to the CR5km challenge at 7am. It was a great morning for it - not nearly as humid and warm as last week - and there were a lot of runners/walkers/bikers on the path (January is always like that). I managed 24:18 which is my best time on the course for quite a while, and very evenly paced (4:51, 4:51, 4:51, 4:49, 4:47 + 9m @ 4:16).
Off to work now but will try to update more regularly - I think it helps keep me focused.
