Moondust and I have had some good runs this last week or so, but I have been under the weather with some odd stomach pains. ( I wondered if I jinxed myself commenting on Brick's blog about gastro specialists, thinking that I hadn't needed to see mine in a long while - then a matter of hours later, I had stomach pain that strongly resembles gall bladder pain). My medication didn't seem to work as well this time, and it lingered on for a couple of days and then I just felt 'off' for a few more........ but seems to be OK now.
Today gave me the boost I needed. And great to see Sook just as I clicked over 7km. Also passed Eagle while he was doing some stretches, and gave a quick hello. I also had the pleasure of catching up with Eagle last week for a chat near the CR5km mark...always a wise word and advice, such a lovely person.
Swam some laps tonight while Gadfairy had her swimming lesson (quite chily down on the bay tonight....much worse when you get out of the water
Heading out for 8km tomorrow morning on the bay with moondust and a long run on Sat morning with loops off the bay (I think).
School breaks up tomorrow for 2 weeks, so I'll have Gadfairy to keep me company ...or drive me crazy! She is certainly ready for a break after a long and difficult term - settling into a new school has been tricky, but she has managed and loves the school and her teacher - but needing a break. And the scary thing is that I know how fast the holidays always go - and Bathurst is on the last weekend, so I know it will come up REALLY fast!
Not long now.
Happy Easter to all
