Hi all,
Saturday 25 February - Westleigh 45 minute ride
Sunday 26 February - Bobbin Head return 1:48 ahr 98bpm 581 kj burnt
Last night ride was around 6:00pm and when I was riding down Quarter Sessions Road near 40 per hour a bird was flying just in front of me for 20 odd metres , turned and looked at me as it glided with me then cut in front and flew off. It was a cool moment of suspended time.
This morning I headed to Bobbin Head and back.
On the climb out I did for each marked km
3:42 ahr 83
3:42 ahr 122
3:57 ahr 125
3:22 ahr 134 - less than a km
The total climb out was 13:04 - pretty quick and felt easy as indicated by heart rate - totally in my aerobic range of 101-136bpm.
My second moment of suspended time was when I was climbing out of Bobbin Head and I was impressively past by a flying female rider - huge cadence and high gears. I just watched her in awe as she passed by me. I wonder how you build strength to maintain cadence on such a high gear.
