Today i pulled myself out of the deep little hole i had fallen into and made some plans. They are pretty big adventurous plans, but i believe i can achieve them.
The goal is to keep focused, strive to drive the negative thoughts and negative self talk out the door and achieve them.
So today i took myself off to the pool, dropped kidlet at the creche and swam 1km in 28mins. Was hoping to do 2kms, but after about 1.1km was starting to get some pretty good cramps in the feet and upper legs. Decided to not try and drown myself so called it quits for the day.
The next goal is the womens only triathlon in Port in November. I have talked my sister into doing it with me. Will be her first ever triathlon so im really excited for her. she will kick my butt, but it will be fun trying to chase her down.
So now its time to go shopping, buy some supplies to keep the plan on track and a bit of retail therapy with the kidlet. Got to love school holidays. NOT.

I love having a plan - having something to aim for; and one thing I've found since I started my blog at the beginning of this year is that letting people know what the plan is keeps me honest. It's strange; though I have met only a handful of people on the Cool Running site, by typing my plan, I feel as though I owe it to people to follow through and that I would be letting people down if I don't. It's silly - and I find it works!
Kudos for going in for the Tri - as I'm sure I've said before, that is still a long way away for me; it's challenging enough to just run!
Look forward to reading your updates,
Cheers!
Wayne.
