Wow, its been 5 mths since i last wrote anything and i suppose that is because i had nothing to add. Its taken this long to be able to get back into running. Im still on the slow road back to running. The stress fracture healed well but the lingering Tendonitis in the shins has been problematic. I can now jog/walk for about 2kms on a treadmill twice a week and my god it feels great to be running again.
In the mean time i have been swimming, doing lots of spin classes and a weekly weight session with a personal trainer. I have noticed improvements in my strength and fitness. Even at the recent womens tri camp i was not the last in the bike pack for once. Im now refocusing on enticer triathlons so i dont stress the leg out again and in the new year will get back to slowly building the distance in my running back up. I will set a new goal for next year of taking another 15mins of my City 2 Surf time and aim for 10mins off my Blackmores Bridge run time. I have missed both these races this year so more incentive for next year.
