I am in receipt of the next 2 weeks of training and it seems our coach is trying to find the breaking point for speed.
To date we have achieved every training session he has set us including distance and time.....This week we have a tempo run which includes an average time not achieved by us over anything longer than a single km. We have a warm up followed by 3 x 4km at 4:45 avg / km pace with a 3min jog recovery in between. Although we will die trying I think he might have us this week
So coming up:
Monday - Body Balance
Tuesday - Intervals + Personal Training
Wednesday - Recovery Run 6km
Thursday - Tempo 15km total + Pilates
Friday - Rest
Saturday - 8km Recovery Run
Sunday - 30km long run including hills
69km - total
Longest running week to date and biggest amount of km's done in a month ever for me.
Negative note - Have a head cold and body aches. So the question is....push through or rest? I generally get this wrong regardless of the choice.
