Hi Everyone,

Had a rather relaxing run today... As i've said in a another post/blog that this week is recovery week/slow week... No fast running! :-)

So that's what i've been doing..

Here's today's run..

Distance: 12.7 kms
Time: 1 hour 10 mins
Pace: 5:33 min/km
Avg HR: 150 beats per minute

Had a interesting run on Sunday... Took my run out slowly for the first 1/2 of my 18 km run then decided to come back strong and fast...

Had my usual interval session today (however only at 90% effort).

I'm feeling a 'touch' sore after my long run on Sunday... Top of the calf just below the backside of my knee and my gluets are errr. ever so slighy tender... If i'm lucky i'll get my most excellent wifey to give me a massage tonight! :-) hehehee

I Exceeded My Max Hr Today... Ouch!

Hiya.

Firstly, i HAVE to say.. Loving the Garmin 310xt... it's a wonderful device and IMHO is heaps better than my old Polar!!! (however i do miss some features of the polar software). The watch is bloody wonderful though. Everyone keeps raving on about this Sportstrack software.. i'll give it a crack shortly.

The Tan - Pb For Me - An Angry Run!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Feeling very stressed with work at the moment and other things in life I decided that today was going to be a bloody hard run (for me that is)! Race pace the whole way!!!

I left work and ran my obligatory 2.2 kms to the start of the tan. Ran that at 4:45min pace... was almost at that the tan and my silly polar...

When i said i'm back.... i really do mean back! :-)

Today was a great speed/interval session work.

I've hooked up with the Melbourne RACV Club Fitness Centre's Running Group....

A nice young lass by the name of Ashley Clifton runs the group.... We run Tuesday and Thursday... Doing a combination of speed/interval work.....

I've had a great little break over the past month and a bit......

I dropped my running back straight after the Sri Chinmoy  10km (of which i got a PB) but for some reason didn't post a blog entry about it :-(

Felt tired and a tad exhausted after the race........ and then copped summer.. hard.... i found running during the heat...

3km Time Trial Results - Pb + December Mileage Results.

Hi Everyone,

On Tuesday I decided to give the 3KM a good crack! My previous best for this event was 13:36.

I started off at Southbank in Melbourne here and ran along beside the Yarra. Felt quite good for the first kilometre, no real stress. At the 1/2 mark I felt myself starting to the feel it.

The third kilometre was quite painful! lol! 1/2...

Intervals - 5 X 500metres + 1 X 1km - 1 Min Standing Rest

Hiya Everyone,

I had a successful interval session late yesterday afternoon!

The plan was this:

Warm up   : 2.2 kms
Intervals : 500 metres x *6* with 1 Minute SR (Standing Rest) and finish with 1 x 1KM
Warm Down : 2.2 kms back to where I started.
