3hr 20m 8s for last Sunday, which technically is a Boston Qualifier for me, but this race wasn't in the list of accredited races for Boston qualification. I came 38th out of 128 finishers, making for a percentile rank of 70%. Steady up to around 32km, then slowed down to 5min kilometres for the last 5km. The veteran stalwart, Lester Smith, caught up with me at the halfway mark and I managed to keep up with his pace for about 10 or so minutes, having a great chat, before he shot off ahead of me. Who decided to put a hill at the 41k mark? Anyway, far better and more sensible effort than my implosion at the Melbourne Marathon in 2009 where I attained a 3hr 37min after 'over-reaching'. Worked more on my long runs in the last few months. Next tentative goal in the Williamstown Sri Chimnoy in late May. Current BMI is 23...might try to drop it to 20 to improve my chances of a better time.
