Have made incremental changes to my running form over the past year or so, in the hope of improving efficiency. There is a lot of information in cyberspace on the topic, which can be overwhelming. I've been able to increase my running cadence, and strive to do to at least 180 steps per minute, but I think 190 is better. Trying to keep an upright torso, and pelvis tilted a little forward.
It was interesting to see video snippets of my form at the MM, and my gait seemed a little wide. Now I'm trying to concentrate on keeping as narrow a gap as possible between my knees as they cross over, and imagine running on a single white line which both feet must land on. This seems to have helped my push back, but have developed some soreness under my right arch. Hoping my foot will get used to it, otherwise it's another trip to the podiatrist.
Just under 31 weeks to go to the Willy Marathon, and keeping my average weekly pace well under 5m15s/km. Still have another two weeks of my marathon recovery to go though, so nothing too silly at this stage. Scheduled to run only 65km this week.
