Went back to basics over the past twelve months:

Identify the recurrent injury problem, and sort it out.
check
Establish new and better running pattern to avoid injury relapse
check
Work on strength
check
Work on endurance
check
Re-discover the joy of running injury free!
check
Don't focus on racing until ready
check
Mix it up and Go bush and trail and away from road
check
Run Trail marathons / ready and in great form!
Check
Enrolled for Glenbrook, six foot and Mt Solitary: all cancelled!
You can't win them all!

Heck, lets run a hilly 10 km race on no speedwork, no target or focused preparation....
Personal Best time of 38:42.
A course PB by 50 seconds. First 10 km PB in 3 years. Easy and comfortable run. lots in the tank!

Don't know where that came from!!

well done Johnbo. why not sign up for the M7 Mara and blitz a good mara time out in the golden west. You will have a few buddy's to keep you company too! :-)

I am there mate! Only problem is that every A race i have signed up for this year has been cancelled! I am in for North Face marathon Pairs with burglar next week...you doing it?

no did Canberra Mara and so next event for me is M7. I will guarantee it won't get cancelled!!!
