It has been a while since my last post but that is because no problems to report. I have had a few little niggles and a hamstring reaction but that was more to due with the lumbar spine than over stretching and I have managed to get my km's in as required. I just need to do my cat stretch...

Got my 2 workouts sorted for the gym for the next 4-6 weeks. I am going to try and get in 4 times a week by attending workout 2 once or twice before going to work. This means I should be able to get some good running completed as well.

Change Of Plan - 5k Run

Well, I need to think about doing my track work on a weekend when it is light. Got to the track and it was pitch black with no floodlights on. So I decided to do the 5k club winter handicap race that I last ran in October with a time of 20:54.

Although my technique is a long way off being perfect it is much better after only a few sessions. I can't run far at all because as soon as I do the form goes a little and my body is still adjusting, and I still need to improve my strength.



I did a 1.2 mile warm up...

Gym - Strength Work

Visit to gym went well tonight and highlighted some areas that I need to focus on. I did the following:



*Leg Extensions (1) 1x10 @ 20kg both legs followed by 1x5 right and 1x5 left (2) 1x10 @ 15kg left and 1x10 15kg right (3) as 2 - Maximum was 40kg


*Leg Curl (1) 1x10 @ 20kg both legs followed by 1x10 right...
