I have given up trying to plan when I will run too much. It seems that after some runs I feel fine (I am talking about pain in the calf muscles), and the same run on a different day leaves me sore for two days. When I finished yesterdays run I felt like crap, just none of the endorphins goodness that I was getting when running further distances in my shoes before I took up this minimalist caper. I went out again today because the weather is supposed to be worse tomorrow, and had a great run and enjoyed every minute...
Anyhow, the last weeks run diary:
30/05/12 4.7km
02/06/12 4.6km
04/06/12 4.7km
05/06/12 4.5km
Same story as last week, a bit of a forefoot walk to warm up followed by running up to around 3km, then walk the last bit home. For today's run, I walked a bit further before the run, then ran the last 3km home at a slightly reduced pace. Checked my cadence for the first time today at around 170/min which was at the end of the run (when the sun was up enough for me to read my watch), which seems about right. Also good to have done two days in a row, and to do one more than last week. If I can't manage two days in a row, it was going to be a bit tricky to do more than 4 in a week.
