I am preparing for the weekend's Traralgon Marathon by relaxing and trying to recover from the Barossa Marathon last Sunday. This morning I went for a sluggish 10 km and thought I wasn't feeling up to running another marathon this weekend. Then I had to remind myself I always feel like this when I run two in a row. And I went to my local bakery for one of their delicious orange and poppyseed muffins to make me feel better about life.
I have been reading the thread about the last minute change that was made to the Barossa Marathon course - made while I was out running it, which is cutting things fine. This hasn't happened to me before, the idea of a course change while I am doing it. At least I got to run a full marathon, unlike some poor but fast runners who ran 300 metres short apparently.
