Having booked in with LongArms online coaching has made a big difference. Just having to report back to Sean each week has helped me tie the laces up at times where i might not have if it was just me. Has been a great variety of hills, intervals, fartleks, recoveries and the good old long...

Hi All,

March was a bit of a mixed bag, was off sick with a sinus infection for a week, twinged my calf a little the week after that - probably being silly and going to hard on the hills! in saying that the 12 runs that i did have were great!

Races-
24/3 SMC 5KM - 23:41 mins (beat last months by about 50 secs!)

First Marathon - Booked In!

Just a quick & very exciting one, I have registered for the Sydney Marathon in September for my first full Marathon!

Really looking forward to the training and exctied and nervous for the day!

Good week this week! Biggest since November last year before my knee issue.

Wednesday was the hardest run on the track at Botany, 3km warm up - 3x1.6km - 3km cool down. 1.6km splits were 7:47, 8:00, 8:11 so slowed down a bit towards the end!

Tempo this morning was 5km-5min stop rest-5km. Not sure of split yet but am sure the second 5km will be...

Hi All,

Hasnt been too much happening in the last week or so. twinged my calf playing soccer so thought id rest it up to be on the safe side.

Started up again on Friday to test it out before my first 5km race ever at SMC on Sunday, luckily it came good!

Fri 15th - 15mins / 3.01km @ 4:59 p/km - 1km warm up - 2 x 400m - 1km Cool down

4/2 - 10/2 - Week 15 Training for SMH

Hi All,

Back into a training program after 4 weeks of no running, followed by 5 weeks of just running to whole the knee felt.

Will still be guided by body as im transitioning to fore foot strike and using the new 4mm drop shoes (have run in them 7 times so far, tried a run in my brooks adrenalines and they just feel wrong now, couldnt feel my foot hitting...

Training for the SMH Half on May 19!

Hi All,

Was on holidays last week and only managed to sneak in 2 runs, both 3km on same course one was  15:41 and the other 14:33 (first time ive managed 3 x sub 5 min km's back to back for a while!). I did work for my landscaper mate and carried about 4 tonne of pavers over two days tho!  

My calves arent as sore anymore so am going to go...

Running Technique/Coaching!

Hi All,

Just a quick update. I went and had a session with Keith Bateman on Monday and it was GREAT!

It took a while during the lesson to get the technique right but Keith got me there by the end of the hour or so! He makes it sound & look so simple....Now i just have to practice!!

I went for a run on Tuesday, even though my calves...

Hi All,

Has been a while since last update here so thought id do up a quick one.

Had the GP confirm ive got nothing worse going on in my knee besides the PFS this past week!

Am still having a bit of pain but not hurting at all when im running so im just managing it and listening to the body as i go.

Have booked in to see a running technique coach...
