Well it seems im on the road to recovery! Went for a decent test run on Saturday, the anke started off tight & a bit painfull but was fine pretty much all the way....Bandaged it up after and didnt get any swelling either!
Going to start back with lower kms next week and see how it goes. Sutho 2 Surf is only 2 weeks away & City2Surf 5 weeks so want to make sure im all good for them and then the big one Blackmores Half (2nd half ever!) 10 weeks away!
So heres how this week went:
Mon - rest
Tue - rest
Wed - rest
Thu - 1.54km @ 5m46s in 8m54sec. Quick test of how the ankle was - very dusty at that stage!
Fri - Rest
Sat - 12.11km @ 6m48s in 82m23sec. Slow run/walk to give the ankle a good test
Sun - Rest
Onto next week, back into the 5 a side soccer and with a few short runs added to the Saturday run all going well!
btw - feel good that its getting better but spewing that i managed to get up to conistent weekly k's over/around 30km ad now back to this! Oh well, hopefully wont take long once back to full strength!
