Hello, I'm Tracy.
I'm married to Peter and a mother of seven. I'm an textile artist. I am kept fully occupied chasing children and playing with my crafty tools.
On February 2nd 2011, I made the decision I didn't want to be obese anymore. I didn't want to be constantly tired. I wanted to be a better mother. I wanted to play with my kids. I wanted my bum to fit in a slide and a swing. I wanted to be slim, I wanted to be fit, I wanted to run. I joined Weight Watchers online. I was 44 years old and 90kg, I wasn't going to be fat and 45, I was going to be fit and fabulous on my 45 th birthday.
I started by walking, 20 mins every night. In front of the house while the kids were in bed each night. I'd walk 3 houses one way and 3 houses the next. I bought a set of hand weights which I kept in the kitchen, I used them 5 mins here and 5 mins there. After losing the first 10kg I joined the gym. Every night after dinner, when Pete was home, I'd go the gym for an hour. I'd leave Pete to wash the dishes and get the kids through the bath.
When I turned 45 in November 2011 I had achieved my dream. I was fit and fabulous. I had run my first fun run and won it! I had found a new passion ... RUNNING.
