Hi all,
I'm in training for Gold Coast Marathon but have sadly had to battle shin splints the last two weeks. This has limited my training however a visit to the physio this morning gave me positive news - I'm on the mend!
I did an 8km run last Friday and 14km on Sunday and pulled up no sorer. Physio said swelling continued to decrease and the fact that I did the runs with no major setbacks was a good sign and gave me the green light to resume on a normal training program, with the exception of cutting out any speed work for the time being.
With 10 and a half weeks until GCM I'm hoping that the injury continues to improve as I build back up to some sort of normal/expected training loads. We'll find out with a 50min lunch run planned for today.
