I am trying to get information from the organisers but that has proved fruitless. I am not on facebook so turn back to CR for information.

There seems to be two Perth marathons, one in June and one in August.

Has anyone done the August run?

Is it flat-ish?

Are the start/end points the same?

Do they post bibs for interstaters?

Any nearby hotels to recommend or not recommend?

Thanks.

The June marathon is called Perth Marathon and is organised by the main Perth running club, WAMC. It is an out and back course and not hilly apart from short climbs onto bridges. It starts near the casino.

The August marathon is called City 2 Surf Marathon and is run in conjunction with the Perth City 2 Surf 12 k ( I think) race and also a half marathon. This one is very hilly in the second half, and it is a point to point course from the Perth CBD to City Beach. They organise buses to take you back to Perth.

Neither race mails out race bibs, you can collect on race day for the Perth Marathon and you have to go to the race expo for the other one on the Saturday.

Would suggest staying in the CBD for both of these. You can walk to the start of the C2S, and maybe taxi to the Perth Marathon, it's a bit far to walk.

I have run both of these several times and I liked them both.
