On the 24th June I replied to a thread "Blisters after the 1st half".
This morning my post was there but mysteriously it is no longer. I can only imagine that a moderator has removed my post because something within its contents was not permissible. Quite frankly I don't have a serious problem with this.

What I do have a problem with, is I would have thought it polite and beneficial to the author (which is me in this case) to be notified re said blunder and made aware of the alleged
error(s). And at the very least given an opportunity to rephrase the post. Some thought and effort can go into these responses and to be treated so offhandedly can be hurtful.

I'm sure the moderators on this site do a fantastic job but I wouldn't have thought a simple explanation would be too much to ask for when bringing out the big red pen.

Open to discussion.

No, this is definitely not normal and you have my full sympathy, very nasty. In my long running experience those blisters are up there with the worse I've seen. Certainly is a fright foot  :Nail Biting:

If you're going back to 'Active Feet' make sure you speak to the podiatrist and not one of their sales people. You need to get this dealt with on a professional level and in my opinion a good fitting shoe should never do this to your feet. Remember one of the pluses with AF is their 30 day money back guarantee. Avail yourself of this and make sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave.
My advice is, throw away those current shoes, get fitted with correct shoes for your feet (may cost a few dollars but well worth it) and perhaps get some medical advice about those blisters so that they don't get infected.

All the very best and hope all this leads to a happy outcome and enjoyable running in the future.

Hey guys - FYI, that thread is in two forums (fora?).

Injury and Nutrition and Shoes and Gear.  Luckyguy's response is in the Injury Forum.

Does this solve anything?

Thanks Tim and Muzman, looks like I've fallen fall for the 3 card trick (or the two identical forums, in this case). Well I think I'll go away now - I've got some humble pie to eat :Nail Biting:

I have just investigated and it looks like Chub posted the same thread twice - maybe once and then realised it was in the wrong spot and then re-posted it in the right spot (injuries - toes & feet). Some people could then have posted to both threads, and then a moderator, Tim, merged them and just deleted chubs duplicate. The current thread is here:
http://www.coolrunni...showtopic=19257

all looks ok.

the only take away is that if you think something weird has happened then email us at info@coolrunning and ask in private rather than in public.

Great rule of thumb
