You're right didge. Ordered the compression tights late Friday night (almost Saturday) and they arrived Tuesday arvo. Great fit, felt a little bit sexy wearing them...

Thanks again didge.

I'm considering getting the full length compression tights for recovery, but I'm not sure what size to get.

I'm 78kg and 182cm, this puts me about in the middle of Medium and Large size.  Can anyone recommend whether I am better to go for the bigger or smaller size.  My guess is that there is probably a fair bit of overlap, and that I could go either way.   I'm about 86 around the waist, calf is about 38 at the widest point, and upper thigh is 56.

If you want them really tight, go for the medium

Mike the womens tights aren't very 'tight'. I ordered med, exchanged to small and could have gone to xs but as wearing mostly for runs not recovery have kept as they are. They were EXCELLENT in returning though so go the smaller and call for return if too big.

Thanks loubee, that's exactly the type of sizing feedback I was after.

I'm assuming that your original purchase was as per their sizing chart.

I'll go ahead and order the medium and see how I go.

OK Just to add to the list, I have no relationship with Linebreak, but one of the runners I coach is an up and coming runner/Triathlete(I am trying to wean him away from Tris) has a sponsorship deal with Linebreak and they offer the 40% discount to anyone who would like to take up the offer. It makes the athlete look good as it shows that he is a good athlete to sponsor as he has lots of friend etc.

So if you would like to assist this 16 year old please read below.

"Through my sponsorship, LineBreak have provided me with a special 40% discount to pass on to other members of my sport. To illustrate the saving, a 40% discount on their tights reduces the price from $100rrp to $60. Compare this to some comparable brands at $150 and it’s a very attractive offer.

To take advantage of this substantial saving, visit http://www.shop-linebreak.com.au/ and use the discount code OD06QUM76 to save a bundle. To learn more about LineBreak’s gear, visit http://www.linebreak.com.au/ - Please note this offer ends on 31/10/09."

If you prefer Skins/2XU etc, please consider trying out Linebreak as the price is pretty good, you would also be helping an up and coming athlete.

Plus the offer is now extended out to the end of October

Oh good! I only thought to look at this thread AFTER the prev offer had expired so looks like I've been given a second chance! Would really like a pair of shorts so this works out well!

Thanks :LMAO:

Mike, there is sizing chart and if what you order doesn't fit, simply give them a call. They will send you a bigger (or smaller) size with a self address envelope. All you then do is to pop the wrong size back in and tada, you got a fitting one..

They aren't really fuss - If there is anything they have and skins doesn't, its customer service. Try getting a sales rep from Skins to call you regarding poor quality!!

I have been using tights not for compession benefits (if these exist), but for prevention of chafing in my inner thighs. I have just bought 2 pairs of shorts using the discount code.

Thanks for that! Great deal!

Hey ladies....

Has anyone ever bought/worn the Linebreak crop top? I have a triumph tri-action (the crop top, nonwired type) and it's got fantastic support ... nuthin' moves, but then I'm only a 10B. Having said that, I've got a NB crop top/running bra thing that's old and getting stretched and it's just doing the work anymore.

How does the Linebreak crop top rate for rendering one's chest immobile? That's discount's appealing...

Cheers,

Sue

Was talking to one of the runners at the Orange Blossom Fun Run yesterday, who said that he had used the code on Wednesday and by Friday the gear had arrived. A very satisfied customer. Said that he uses Linebreak anyway so with the 40% off and great service, couldnt be happier.

Got my linebreaks today.  I think they'll be good as they have a longer body (crotch to waist band) than the 2Xu pair I have... so I won't have to keep pulling them up as I run.

I got a large and they seem a bit big however I'm in the weird place where I'm on the big side for medium and small side for large...  :o

Cheers for the discount code.

keely I think the large would be way to big for you and you should drop down to the med or you'll be pulling these up as well  :D . I had the med and sue had the small, I took hers called Linebreak who sent out an XS for Sue with a post paid envelope to send the others back. They were great.

Got mine today. (and only ordered them on Weds!)I ordered the small as there was no XS option. Far too big, have emailed to see if I can swap (why wouldn't they have XS listed on the sizes if they have them?) I wear XS skins, so hopefully their sizing is the same.

63k (and losing :o) and 162cm - could almost have gone xs.

Seris they were all sold out of the xs which is why it isn't listed. When I called to swap they said that there were more xs coming in so I'm sure they will be okay swapping but you may have to wait a little. They are a little bigger than skins.

Remember, the shops are no place for the faint hearted between now and Christmas Eve but with LineBreak, there’s no need to do anything other than shop from the comfort of the seat you are currently sitting at. So forget trawling for a parking spot, forget queuing at the registers listening to Little Drummer Boy on high rotation while someone’s three year old has a meltdown, forgo hearing yuletide parental gems like “if you don’t smarten up your act I’m calling Santa and telling him not to come to our house this year” -  instead, just meander (gently) through www.shop-linebreak.com.au  pick your goodies, then plug in the discount code 2UC8P35EX . You’ll save money, time and possibly your mind.

For those that are interested in linebreak gear.  The 40% off thing seems pretty regular, but you now have the opportunity to get 50% off.  I bought some linebreak gear a while back, and they send me emails from time to time (interestingly written and somewhat entertaining).  If you take part in a color scheme survey, they send you a code for a 50% discount.  Mine expires 05 Feb, but if you go to the following URL you should be able to get your own.

http://www.linebreak...ens_colours.htm

Mike

P.S. I haven't been on coolrunning for a while, so a quick merry xmas, happy new year and all that.  Many thanks to the regulars that contribute, and keep such a good forum alive and kicking.

I love the gear especially the crop top for my D cups!

Used the 50% off I received from doing the survey to buy some Linebreak tights.

Placed my Linebreak order on Thursday 28 January.

Received my tights in the mail on Monday 1 February.

That is what I call quick service.

Using my first ever CR post to say thanks to Mike for the heads-up on the survey. The survey page says that it closed on Jan 29; I tried anyway and still got my 50%-off coupon, expiring tomorrow. Safe to say I wasted no time placing my order :unknw:

Wednesday I got an email with the subject
All LineBreak gear half price for the next 48 hours
The email read

Oh my giddy aunt it’s getting even colder! What’s going on???? I don’t know if it’s age or just me getting soft but winter was never this cold surely.
Time to cover up or you’ll catch your death – as Nan would say.
You might recall how a few weeks ago we dropped our pants for 48 hours - well it nearly killed us. Our poor warehouse people had to work like dogs to get all the orders out on time. If only they’d stopped sniffing each other and rubbing their backsides along the ground they might have finished sooner but nonetheless, work like dogs they did to get the flood of orders out so well done to them. Now a lot of people asked why the sale was only on tights and not tops too. The honest reason - we didn’t have enough tops in stock to meet the demand but the good news is, we’ve been knitting and stitching our fingers to the bone and we’re pleased to say we now have tops a plenty.
So it only seems fair to run another sizzling 50% discount but this time on all our compressionwear for the next 48 hours. That’s all our compression gear from tops to bots.
Visit www.linebreak.com.au and use the 50% discount code WINT2JUN in the ckeckout to guard yourself against the cold – but only until end of day Friday 4th June.
All the best,
The LineBreak Team

Someone else put me on to this, and I'm considering calfguards and maybe full length pants.  Very good prices.  I just need to convince myself that I need them.

It was great to see that email in my inbox last night as I was going to buy some Performax from Rebel today. For the same price I bought the Linebreak women's crop tights in black. :Praying: I am a little worried about the sizing, but I'm looking forward to giving them a try since I've never owned any compression gear before.

Thermy if in doubt definitely size down as they are larger than normal sizing. I have previously ordered things that were too big and they have been exchanged at no charge - they sent me the new pants with an express post bag to send back.

Well that's reassuring! I did 'size down', and then woke up this morning worried that I wouldn't be able to jam my thighs into them.  :Praying: Glad to hear that their exchanges are hassle free, though hopefully I won't need it.

Nice to hear about the sizing.  I'm on the line of M & L.  I'll check my Slazenger compression pants (from Big W) size before pulling the trigger.

What sort of quality are we looking at here?  Somewhere between the Slazengers that I have now and the 2XU and Skins brands?

I found some answers by looking back through the thread.

A bit of a comparison with other brands here: http://www.coolrunni...x...st&p=498327

Ooops.  :Praying:

Ordered on the basis that they'd be similar to skins - they're sizing chart would indicate this.

Oh well, will wait 'n see.

Thanks....just placed my order.  I've used Linebreak for a while, and while the Slazenger products are good for the price, find that their small doesn't compress as well as Linebreak.  Haven't tried 2XU or Skins so can't compare....but for the price I've just paid for calf guards, long compression shorts and compression tights, I'm not going to complain.

Just wish I could pick them up.  They're only at Warriewood...almost in my own backyard!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This is a great price, just ordered some long tights, short tights and also a pair of long tights for my wife and it was less than a single pair of long tights in 2xu or skins.  I'm liking it :-)

I settled on just the long pants this time around.  But if they are the goods, then I might grab more with their next discount sale.

I ordered two men's long sleeve compression tee.

Would have ordered some men's three quarter compression tights but they didn't have my size.

That was two items for the price of one.

FYI: Aldi's weekly specials (from 3 June) include Crane compression wear @ $19.99 piece. Not tried so can't vouch for quality. (Other snow sport related stuff this week, too.)

However,  I've been happy with Crane cycling boxers (much lighter than knicks, can be worn under other garments), coolmax socks and thermal ear warmers.

I haven't tried the Aldi compression gear but they were sure fighting over it when I was there on Thursday to pick up some snow gear for a trip to Antarctica next Feb. It was a mad house!

OK what I can say is they appear to be sized large. Bought women's XL compression tights for waist 83cm. Mine is 84-5. They will keep me warm, but there's not much compression going on. May try to exchange them for next size down, if any left. I think I ended up 2 sizes down with M in the cycing underwear. Aldi are usually OK with clothing returns and exchanges so long as you return with original packaging intact. However they may not, as it's a trust issue with this type of item that you've tried them on over underwear.
