Hey there! 26 year old female. Just moved from Sydney to Melbourne (St Kilda) and I'm in need of a running group/club/partner. I'm a keen triathlete and I race long course. I'm dying for some company preferable in the mornings, possible after work too. Any ideas?

Hi Gillmergirl!
How far and at what speeds are you running? And what time in the mornings?

The Gunn Runners
they meet at Albert Park every Tuesday evening. There are also long runs regularly held throught their social group. They also have a cycling group on weekends.
Alternatively, Vuelta cyclesspin class on the cormer of Inkerman St and Brighton Road (the highway) has a regular bunch of tri-athletes that come to their sessions so it might pay to ask them.

You wont go to far wrong with the two links supplied (Campbell Maffett's group - Love to Run) and (Tim Crosbie - Crosbie Crew)
Campbell is more Tri based. Tim running based.
With regards to cycling, if you head down to the corner of North Rd and Nepean Hwy Brighton any weekday morning (probably not Tue / Thr unless you can handles yourself and a very fast peleton) at 5.45am or 6.00a.m you will find a group of roadies (60 to 100) depending on weather who ride down to Mordialloc and back to St Kilda. Mon, Fri easy, Wed a little faster. My recommendation in the 5.45am group. A few less hard core roadies than the 6.00am bunch.
On weekends I would recommend Gogs Girls. A woman’s specific cycling group run by BikeNow Cycling Shop owner Warren Cay. Email him for more info warren@bikenow.com.au or ring his shop and ask for more info. www.bikenow.com.au
For an all round Tri group I also suggest Bayside Triathlon Sq. They meet at Sandringham throughout the week. www.baysidetriclub.com
Enjoy

Thanks guys!
I'm actually a triathlete. I race long course (2km swim/90km cycle/21.1km run) so my training is generally between 8km and 25km. I love company when I run. I have just done Ironman and I don't want to lose my base. I am still sorting our work but i generally finish at 3pm and home before 4pm. So if anyone is keen for company, let me know!
