Gently winding the usual structure down ahead of Sunday. Wednesday afternoon was basically a slower version of Monday, starting out at about 4:50 and working the pace down to sub 4:25 (over a km) at the end to give a bit over 11.2 in mid 52 minutes. Felt pretty comfortable throughout, just running for the sake of running and easing the pace up as I loosened up.
Thursday was basically a 3.5k warm up, 2 x1.12k (by the Garmin) repeats with a 2 minute rest in between. First rep was at 3:43 pace and felt really solid, with a nicely controlled running action. Second rep was at 3:38, felt a bit ragged initially and was chasing the clock up to the halfway where I seemed to settle and find some time. Nice sharpish cooldown and it ended up being a pretty pleasing, if abbreviated session.
Been a bit more disciplined with core and stretching this week and I think it's helping - feeling that there's a bit more of a stable platform there at the moment.
