It's less than 7 weeks until we lay it on the line at the Gold Coast. Could someone direct me to instructions for setting up a wiki page so people can add themselves to the list with goal times etc?
I will also organise the pre-and post-race gatherings (at the Surf Club, unless there is some info that it's gone horribly downhill) unless someone else has already done so.
Looking forward to seeing everyone :)

Here is the link to the "roll call" page.
http://www.coolrunni...Gold_Coast_2011

Add yourself to the list by clicking on the "edit" tab. If you type a star at the start of the line it will stay in list format.
Please also indicate whether you are coming to either of the social gatherings so I can book them.
See you in Queensland :D

The last few years the gatherings have been at the surf club. It's reasonably child-friendly - no playground but it's next to the beach and a park and not at all formal. They have kids' food too. My daughter (7) will be there and there are usually other kids too. The pre-race gathering usually starts at about 6pm and isn't late finishing.

The wiki software is different to the forum software. There used to be a 'bridge' between the two, so that all registered forum members were also able to log in to the wiki. However, the wiki software has not moved forward, and no longer supports the recent versions of forum software. It's frozen in time. Thus, new forum members do not have a logon ID.  Old forum members who've changed their password will not be able to login, but can use the password change function.

If you want a wiki login, send CR an email, with your user name and desired password. This should be different to your forum password, and CR does not know your present forum password, has no way of finding it out, and does not want to know.

Southport SLSC, Macarthur Pde Main Beach. It's about 1.5 (ish)km from the start-finish area.

If people can't get on to the wiki page (and/or can't be bothered working out how to get on) feel free to leave a post with race/time/participation in social event/s and I will add you to the list
See you in four and a bit weeks :o :)

That wiki page thingo is beyond me.

Put me down for a 4:15 marathon and a probable post run function attendance.

Did Williamstown marathon on Sunday - good confidence booster.  On the downhill taper slide now.

I am doing the HM and hoping to sneak under the 100 min mark. Hopefully I will pop in for a beer as we are staying at Blue Waters resort and depending if the wife can walk (her first HM) we should be there. Have never met any cool runners officially before.

I will be in the white tuxedo with the red carnation. If still no one approaches me, I will break out into a Mark Holden number......

Oh, what time will the drinks kick off?

OMG I am so looking forward to the Mark Holden number!!!
I'll book the post-race table from 12.30pm unless people want it earlier. I'll book it under Coolrunning b/c I wont be there until at least 3pm unless I do a monster PB  :LMAO:

Touchdown!! :good:

I'm logged in for the marathon - hopefully a sub 4hr - we will see.

But, unfortunately I will probably miss this year's post event as I have family around that afternoon.

See you out there.

a bunch of tired happy CRs congregate at the Surf Club and tell lies about how awesome/terrible their races were. A bit of rehydrating happens too  :drinks:

Are you running at the Gold Coast and want to catch up with other CRs at the pre-race dinner (6pm Southport SLSC) or post-race re-hydration session (from 12.30, same place)? Either put your name down on the wiki page

http://www.coolrunni...Gold_Coast_2011

or leave a post with your race, time and social event and I'll add it.
See you in 4 weeks :D

So far we have 7 CRs doing the full, 8 for the half, a handful for the pre-race dinner and about a dozen for afterward. Keep those names coming :)

Running the marathon as usual. Maybe I might slip in under 3.45. So lets say 3.45. Unfortunately no socail events as I am staying out of town with some friends.

I am entered in the marathon.  I will be be coming in with less distance preparation that ever before for a marahton so it could get really ugly towards the end.

Last GCM my time was 3.32 if I recall correctly.  But this time, if the body holds up I could be trailing Eagle in around the 3.45.  Alternatively it could be closer to four, or five hours!

The 'list' exceeds my technological capabilities but happy if some-one else can add me.

Hi All,

If someone can put me down for a sub 3:45 that that would be good, in fact if I can actaully run a sub 3:45 then it will be even better.

I reckon the wife and I are about 50:50 for the post race hydration session. Whilst there will be no doubt about the need for a beer or 5 afterwards, the ability to drag my sorry ass to the SLSC might be up for question. I'll do my best as it would be nice to meet some CoolRunners in person instead of online for once.

Sorry Allison, couldn't manage to edit the wikipage.

I'm in for the full and hoping for 3:45ish but not really sure how I'll go as I have lost a lot of speed since heading over to the dark side.

Can you also put me down for the pre-race dinner?
Sorry I won't be able to join everyone for post race drinks as I have an appointment with a plane...

No re-hydration for me thanks as I have family on the Coast to return to.
