Milton Tennis Centre Redevelopment, Qld

I think it would be nice to a have a measured path (would be nice if it was a round number of meters etc) around the parameter that was for the exclusive use of pedestrians, joggers, runners etc., ie no roller blades, skateboards, bikes etc... something like our own mini tan where you could do laps
Im not thinking a tartan track or anything like that, but just a space where people could get some exercise without worrying about colliding with someone on or in a wheeled device...
Any ideas on what could be suggested? Is there someway for runners in Milton to band together to push for something?

I like the idea of Melbournites who come up for work doing the 'Ton (pronounced Tun of course) just as we go there and do the 'Tan.... in which case make it 3.871k exactly so we can get some rivalry happening. Making it antbed like the 'Tan would also mean the wheeled folk stay off it. However, as a sometime cyclist, I really like the idea of a nice safe fast track with no cranky runners and walker on it too :-)

runners ( Ipod runners to have separate track too )
bmx with bumps
walkers with 5 metre dog leads
5 wide quilting walkers group
ten pin bowling centre with tennis courts would fill that area nicely...

I drive by it weekly, it doesn't look big enough foe a 400 metre track.

what was the council thinking?
what's wrong with some good old fashioned high density housing?
