Welcome back Mjail, I am sure you had a great time! By the way how did the race in Malaysia go?
Thanks, Pelagie ! As usual I could not resist the food and ate far too much.
As for the race, would you believe that once a female is over 35, she is deemed a VETERAN ? Sure, makes me feel old ! Anyhow, it was an experience running in such high humidity and I was soaking wet after the race. I was surprised that they only had 1 water station and it did not even serve water but an isotonic drink. I'd rather have water.
Forgot to stop my watch but I think I did just under 56 mins for the 11K race which I am very happy with. And to top it off, I got 9th placing and won RM180 worth of petrol vouchers. The first 3 of each category even had cash prizes and 4th-15th were given petrol vouchers. The race was sponsored by BHP and it was free of entry fees and there was free breakfast served after the race too.

As for training in winter, yes it can be hard sometimes but I am sure you will get used to it - do you wear tights? I find them great on cold mornings. Let us know what you decide with the marathon!
My running attire is limited to my shorts and singlets/T-shirts. Might just have to start buying tights or skins and the pink skirt !

And yes, I've definitely see you around Deepwater Point. Mostly I run in South Perth, King's Park and Darlington as I meet up with others, but DWP is my local so if I'm heading out on my own I'll do that one. Hope to see you out there (I'll be the other one with a runny nose

Sorry, bones if I have not said hello to you as I used to be an antisocial runner and just looked straight ahead but lately I have done a 100% turnaround and started looking at other runners/walkers and greeting them or smiling at them. So, if you should see me could you yell out that it is you, bones as my eye sight is blurrish when I run too. ( I seem to have a lot of minor problems when I run, don't know why)
