As we're both in Perth, maybe we'll recognise each other running some time!

I can just picture it going like this.....
Runner 1: 'Nice skirt'
Runner 2: 'Thanks, yours is cool too'
Runner 1 (thinks): looks like a GymGirl.
Runner 2 (thinks): looks like a MarathonGirl, wonder if thats PsychoChicken
Runner 1: 'Orlando??????'
Runner 2: 'PsychoChicken?????'
Rest of the people on the foreshore thinking 'weird girls'
Ha ha hope to see you out and about sometime in your spunky skirt Orlando!! Mine took about 10 days to arrive.

I'm going to give them a trial very early one morning soon and if they hold up I'll be parading them in combination with CR top at the CC half. Now that colour combination is a sight the world really might not be ready for!

If you would agree to a photo with us, wearing one yourself (since you're taking such an interest), it would almost be worth the flight over

Am definitely a fan of the MarathonGirl, and the colours are really nice, especially the shiny pink one. Not as keen on the TransitionGirl, its heaps shorter with big splits up the side so not much point even having it on, might as well run in my undies!! Will be good for wearing over bathers tho.
I was ordering some swimming gear on the weekend and noticed that www.swimoutlet.com also sell them, and they still have some at the sale price. So Orlando, if you havent bought your next ones yet, you might want to check them out (just click on the 'triathlon' tab on the right and they are mixed up in amongst everything else). They dont seem to have the patterned ones tho.

I can't recommend highly enough the triks tank! The silky material was oh so comfortable for kayaking last week (And riding my bike to and from) - I bought my second batch of gear in that october sale they had

Danny, have you also figured out which bra you will wear and how you'll fix your hair? These very important decisions can make or break your race you know

Carmen, the golden rule, as we know from Shaun's talk on Saturday night, is never wear anything in a race that you've never worn in training... so if Danny is willing, he clearly has sekrit cross-dressing issues. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course

I agree with Plod Bod about never racing in gear you haven't tried so its the tried and true shorts for the race but as for the after race photo... catch me if you can!

I went shoe shopping today and tried on some that had been recommended to me by the pod at camp:-
1) Brooks Adrenaline
2) Nike Structure Triax
and
3) one that I had to try just because it was pink, the Asics Gel Kayano 14 (and because I have Kayano 12's now and love them).
Anyway. Findings. Hated the colour of the Brooks, but it felt pretty good.
Tried to love the Asics but it just didn't feel right.
Almost overlooked the Nike, I'm ashamed to say, because it was "Nike". However, tried it on and ran on the treadmill. Guess what? It felt really good. It's blue, but I won't hold that against it.
Will give it a proper trial next week after CC.

So, I decided to take the plunge and order a running skirt but first want to check how you girls have found the sizing. I measured the way they say to and want to know if it is spot on

Yay you! Hope you're ready to be hooked! Ive ordered 3 times now. Am thinking Im due to go to Running-Skirt-Anonymous shortly for therapy.
Yeah their sizing is a little all over the place unfortunately, and it depends on the style. But the saving grace is that they are light and stretchy so it doesnt matter a huge amount.
But as an example Im smack bang in the middle of their 'small' according to the chart, so for:
*MarathonGirl i went medium (coz they said to size up) but small is better, so i would ignore their up-size comment.
*GymGirl is spot on, small fits perfectly.
*Roller Girl is on the larger side, so you could prob go a size smaller, but the small fits me well.
*TransitionGirl Id go a size larger, and actually prob wouldnt recommend it for running as it doesnt cover you very well!
*Dress i got in medium but its really roomy, so small or even XS would be fine. Depending on how you like the fit.
*Tops are a good fit so small was fine.
My fav choice is Marathon Girl but Gym Girl is a close second.
Hope that helps somehow!

Marathon girl - I ordered both S and M (since they said to size up). I fit into both but marginally prefer the M because the skirt is just a tad longer (and my thighs are nothing to write home about). There is one side pocket with velcro fastening, should fit most things you would need.
Gym girl - ordered small, fits fine. I find the built-in shorts keep me fairly warm (so maybe not so suitable for long hot runs) but will be great for cooler weather (and the gym). 2 built-in pockets are great!
Rollergirl - ordered small, fits fine. has one small pocket on the rump. I like the swishy feel of this one but it is definitely cut a bit looser round the tum.

It's too late now as you've ordered but just wanted to say I agree with the others on sizing. I'm a size 10 Australian and went medium for my first GymGirl and it's fine but a little bit on the loose size. I've gone small for my next order because like the others said, they're stretchy.
