A quiet week this week with only three sessions logged. I am continuing to keep the distances low and not push the speed, and the recovery time for the calf muscles is coming down.
I have switched from using Trimble Outdoors to MapMyRun for logging each session. They are both free on the android phones, and both seem to do the same job, but Trimble had regular failures requiring repeated attempts to upload the run at the end of the session so it got the boot.
This weeks runs:
23/05/12 - 4.7 km
25/05/12 - 4.5 km
29/05/12 - 4.6 km
The route was the same in each case so I am not too sure how the distance can change by so much from one run to another. As was the case last week, I started each trip with a forefoot walk of around 1km to warm up a little, then running up to 3km, then walking the remainder.
The goal at this stage remains to increase the number of sessions and then increase the distances.
