I've been giving this some thought but a hard 90+ ks only three wqeeks out from GH seems a bit much for some of us.Not sure if 3 weeks is sufficient recovery.

Hermie, don't run it hard then, just run it as a long training run? It's a great last hitout before GH!
Kanangra, I believe the boyfriend or husband? of said mystery girl was involved with the recent Fatass Alpine adventure and reported she finished it and was ok.

The day or night before the official 6 foot track next March (Fri) run from Jenolan Caves to Katoomba and then run the official 6 foot using the aid stations on the Saturday. Would be fascinating to see if you could keep in front of the grim sweeper. May give it more thought later in the year.

Herm, are you going soft? Some nutters are doing 12', then Trailwalker, then GH. Just take it easy and you'll be fine.

From Kanangra Walls to Katoomba I measured at 72km give or take a bit.
Has anyone run this fire trail?

I just want to clarify something here. I will be only running 6 Foot and then doing the C2S with my son Tim on Sunday.
Unlike Spud who will be running both 12 Foot and C2S as hard as he can.
Thanks for your support Flake but I can only dream about belonging in Spud's league.

Any training benefit, sure, running on tired legs is damn good training for Trailwalker/Glasshouse.

I know that late last year Fats ran it from Black Range to the Jenolan River and back and found it relentlessly steep and tough. That is something coming from him. If it wasn't so inaccessible it'd probably be a great trail for Bogong training.
Kieron Thompson has run Black Range- Moorara Boss- Kanangra Walls Rd- Jenolan Caves- 6FT- Black Range as a training run a few times- about 50K he guessed.
Would definitely like to check it out myself sometime.

Has been raining in the Cox's catchment so I daresay there will be water in the tanks.
I'll be doing the "SW Option" 68K run- start to Deviation and return. BOM aren't doing forecasts this far out, but some of the early charts point to a bloody cold weekend coming up. This may change during the week.

Alternatively I guess I could run to Deviation and then get a lift back and following that logic if I could run to Deviation I may as well run to Caves House.
Hmmm......

Did a quick head count, looks like we will have the usual numbers of 10-12 starters.
Any mountain bikers this year... Kevin?

Frost then sunny
1°C - 12°C
Not likely to get any snow this year I'm afraid. Bloody windy up here today, it's really blowing.
