Amazing to see this. I must pluck up the courage to try this at some point but must admit that I am at the minute a little chicken.

Does anyone know if there is any timing chip recycling happening this year ? Last year I think we sent them to SMC.

I had a few goals for this:
1st - To make the 11k & 75mins cutoff. I was at 13k by then.
2nd - To complete the course. I did!
3rd - To run the whole way. I did, although I haven't mastered drinking from cups and running, so I walked while gulping at the aid stations.
My finishing time was 2:08, which I'm quite proud of. I've already entered for the half in September (Sydney) and am going in for the C2S too.
See you there!

I've got an unloved one on the way from a generous coolrunner. SMH also just sent me an email promising to send me a medal.

Now for my extra Sherlock Holmes moment.
There were many, many people who were not wearing race numbers!!!!!!!!!!
No wonder organisers ran out of product if bandits (non paying, not naughty number swappers) use the race infrastructure.
Shame on you non paying bandits. People need to know that not all issues are with SMH.

Wow. I'm searching for a photo of me I requested at around 15km. In a moment of brilliance, I promised to buy a photo of my back (with its slogan.) Unfortunately, my race number is on my stomach, and it cannot be seen... Yes, I do suffer from runner's brain something fierce.
I am not impressed if medals are given to people without numbers. Not impressed on two fronts: the person for taking them, and the finish line people giving them out.
It is absolutely astonishing the number running without numbers.

However if you go through the amount of no number racers in the photo gallery, must have been a bad day for sticky tape.
