Well done to my good mate Deano with a 3.13 and 5th in his age group.
Also brilliant run by Sam to finish in 3.05 and 8th female home. Only 18 months ago she ran her first marathon in 3.40 - what a winner.

Go SA you good things! Well done to all others too, looks like some excellent times were posted.

Cheers

Great news of everyone!

Who would have thought I would be so looking forward to the results of a marathon I am not in, in a city I know not a soul?!

Big congrats to Uncle Dave, that is quite a breath-taking effort, same to Tim who came second, to Swaggers on an amazing run, our own Stella,  Eagle having run a mind boggling hundred marathons, and in such great times.....and the list goes on. Good on ya Rachinaus! And Slowmo a huge congrats to you.

Its times like this I really enjoy this website. Good stuff.

Thanks so much to the cool running support team. It was a highlight of the race and lifted my spirits in every way. You guys are absolutely awesome. Also - thanks to canberra mara organisers. I love that you can see the results as soon as you get home. It was a wonderful weekend - even if the race was more painful than I'd imagined.

Quick post, just home in Sydney - I have immense respect for each and every one of the runners who got out there today and gave it their all. We cheersquadders had a ball and were kept very busy indeed for 5 1/2 hours. Uncle Dave was brilliant (he really knows how to wind up a cheersquad!) and Tim Rowe looked magnificent the last time I got a look at him at 26k. Eagle took an unexpected photo opportunity with the cheer squad at 26k, he's the marathon king!! Also have to single out my training buddy rachinaus, what a magnificent effort, I'm filled with admiration :hi:

Well done to All!  Especially to Uncle Dave as well. Awesome run! The happiness on your face when you went through the 42 mark and then the end said it all!  It was a pleasure to hand you the trophy!

Thanks to all the cool runner and sydney striders cheersquads yesterday. It really lifted my spirits and helped carry me home to a 15 minute PB, finishing in 3 hr 14 and 13 seconds. Right on target.

And great runs all around by coolrunners all!
