Just to let people know we have a new blog section (create your own on Coolrunning) and a new Photo Gallery - feel free to use both to your hearts content. Comments, questions, issues etc can be left in this thread.

I have started a blog about an insider's view to looking after CoolRunning so that I can test it out myself.

In due course (soon) we will migrate across all photos from the old gallery. I am thinking about preventing any more uploads to it (I will think about it some more). The old gallery was prone to being hacked as I set it up to not have logons/passwords (only admins had these).

I've linked to my external blog and noticed that although I have updated it, there is no update shown in the blogs section....I am assuming this is because I'm not using the CR blog thingo?

I think that the community directory of blogs is basically a LINK to an external blog and the full stats are only shown for blogs hosted on CR (I am sure the software is not smart enough to interrogate an external blog)

With the new gallery, there is a disk size limit for members (not for moderators and admins). If anyone fills up their limit let me know and I will increase it.

With the blogs, I have enabled comments from guests ie non-logged in people. I am working on the friendly URL format and will look into different skins for those who want different fonts, colours and designs.

Quick question Kev:  is there a link on the homepage to the new gallery . . . am I missing it?  The link off the main menu still links to the old gallery.

One confused vegie.  I think I'd better go munch on a carrot.   B)

I think the link on the right is the old gallery and the link above is the new one.

The new gallery is in test mode, so haven't changed the links yet. We are looking to migrate the old gallery into the new, however am still considering options ie can't find how to move albums, merge albums etc.

Plan is that people can load to their own gallerys eg for a race, then moderators can migrate the the global CR gallery (read only access). At a big race this would mean merging in various albums to one. Can't see how to do this yet, I haven't had time.
