Blacktown City Council presents
The Blacktown City Games Athletics Carnival
24 September 2006
at Blacktown Olympic Park
Blacktown City Rams Athletics Club is proud to host the Blacktown City Games Athletics carnival to be held at the Blacktown Olympic Park on Sunday 24th of September 2006 between 9.30am – 5pm. The carnival will be run in conjunction with the Little Athletics Blacktown City Games.
Anyone can compete in the senior events offered at the carnival
When: 24 September 2006. The first events will be the U20 1500m walk, the Open 3000m walk and the U20 and 35+ High Jump which will commence at 9.30am.
Where: Blacktown Olympic Park, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill
Entries Close: 15 minutes prior to the commencement of an event.
Events: U20 – 100m, 400m, 1500m, 1500m walk, High Jump and Discus
Open – 100m, 200m, 800m, 2000m/3000m steeple chase, 3000m walk, Long Jump, Shot Put
35+ - 100m, 400m, 1500m, High Jump, Discus
50+ - 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put
Order of Events:1500m/3000m walk, 100m heats, 1500m, 200m, 70m (LA’s), 100 Finals*, 800m, 400m, 2000m/3000m steeple chase.
*100m finals will only be run where the preceding heats produced equal times for a medal position.
Cost: $2 entry fee which covers entry into all events.

To make this event a success it would be great to see as many people down there as possible. The competition will be good, and it will be a great way to start of the season on a very good synthetic track at Rooty Hill.

I noticed that medals were only being given to people living in the local area. Not a good way to attract out of towners...
