How do I change the name of my profile??????

You can't but we can - just send an email to info@coolrunning.com.au and say what your current name is and what your proposed new name is.

Being unable to change names at will is a bit like a security feature of our new software, else there is a risk of people changing names all the time and readers not knowing who is posting what, or users impersonating other users etc. It seems fair enough to me.

I will gladly change names, once or twice for any user, but not too regulary.

For while now people have been able to change their own names and I couldn't work out why - I think we had a software upgrade which enabled this. I have since read the instructions and turned it off for NewMembers and Members.

Damn, only just found this thread - I hadn't noticed the dates on it and thought perhaps it was because some* users had a habit of regularly changing names thinking we'd think they were a different person ;-)

Probably not the case but some* people do love a good conspiracy theory

*No names mentioned of course
