Can anyone recommend the best and/or cheapest Australian place to buy Nike shoes online? I'm after a pair of Air Pegasus (men's) - size 14 U.S. I tried Athletic Edge, but the biggest size they stock is 12

Hi Road Runner,

Are you after delivery or cheap price or both?

www.eastbay.com

this place is US based, but if you go to letsrun.com and click on there 15% discount link on total cost you will score a bargin. the shipping is good value and at size 14 you should scorce heaps of bargins and clearance range of running footwear

Hi again Road Runner,

Was going to offer to help you get a pair at RRP delivered, but sounds like the internet is king in this department - I'm a sneaker freaker, but my internet skills can be described by something I recently heard - "internet's what you use to send emails, right?".

Good luck and let us know how you go - there may be more like me who need help with discount footwear purchases in cyberspace.

I haven't tried OS yet but:

http://www.runnersworld.com.au/

Where good but didn't have my size either

These guys in Canberra had my size, the rare Nike Air Pegasus US 12 1/2 WIDE which I could not find anywhere else in Australia, same price as normal retail.

They posted them to me at work - very handy.

Cheerio!

I just ordered 2 pairs from www.eastbay.com (the postage works out at $36 for the first item, then only an extra $2 per additional pair). With the letsrun 10% discount, and the postage cost factored in, I essentially ordered a pair of Nimbus & Speedstars for $110 each.

Now just have to hope that some bloke in Austria doesn't end up with a couple of size 12s - will report back in a week or so ...

Thanks for the info miners. I'll keep eastbay in mind for next time. Obviously, you'd be mad to only order 1 pair of shoes.
Even though I was after a pair of Air Pegasus, I picked up a pair of Air Max Rival II from the Nike factory outlet in Melbourne for only $59.50 ($85 less 30%). As I was thinking of paying $140 to $150 for the Pegasus, my wife was happy with my purchase - she isn't a runner!

I just received a pair of Nike Frees 5.0 Mk2 for $US42 (landed) that I picked up on Ebay. I thought was a pretty good deal. :)

Sorry RR - I was trying to add an edit to my post before my PC crashed this morning. I had also been looking at the Pegasus - but the postage for a single pair over there meant that while cheap, it worked out to be about $150, as opposed to the RRP of $160 over here. If you check eastbay, you'll see the nimbus VII are on a special, special at the moment, and they're tried and tested for me :)

However, the other shoe I was soooooo close to getting was the Nike Haywood. $79.99 US on eastbay, and the only thing preventing me from ordering a pair was the fact I don't think they've hit our shores yet, so I didn't want to order something I'd never worn before. Shame too, cause the stats of the shoe look awesome for a lightweight trainer/racer.

And how good are the range of colours!! I particularly like this one for any true blue Aussie kid:
