It always worth checking out the specials at Stringer Sports as well. I've lost count of the number of pairs I've bought from them.
Great service. And they always throw in a free pair of socks

There's a sports shop at DFO in Essendon - fairly sure they do asics, they do saucony for $70 less than normal sports shops, worth a look.

As always, Leo Russell Sports in Gilbert Rd Preston do excellent deals. You need cash and they only open standard hours. Deals are good.

Unless you are wanting to buy off the internet (which has many great savings) it will probably help if you place your location in your profile. Everyone is giving you Melbourne shops to visit, not going to help if you are in Brisbane.

footlocker usa is pretty good. you can usually get 2120 for around $70 USD. Postage is around $46 USD. i always get at least two pairs at a time because each additional paid the postage is an extra $3 USD

There was some discussion about a year ago on this site of people buying online from a particular specialist running store in the US.
Apparently ASICS got wind of the thread and a very senior ASICS person in the US rang the store and told them that if they did not stop shipping ASICS shoes overseas they would lose their ASICS account.
As a result it’s a good idea not to reveal your overseas suppliers!
Now whilst I think it’s piss poor enough that we get ripped off with the mark ups on the same product here in Australia, what really annoyed me was that I run in an ASICS shoe (the Landreth) that ASICS Australia has chosen not to include in their range here. So the only way I can get them is from the US. Thankfully I have a bit of a stash of them now and just picked up 2 pair on Ebay which even after postage cost me $105 AUD each.
When I was at Canberra marathon an ASICS person told me that the Speedstar will not be part of the next ASICS range here in Australia, so those who like the shoe had better stock up while they can.

Footlocker USA now only appears to have 2110's for $70. The 2120's for which I long are $95. If you add the $47 shipping it equates to about $170AU
If I was to extend the budget to 2 pairs, the unit price drops to $143 due to reduced shipping.
It's still better to buy in Melbourne at Russell's or VicMarket (Pasha Noori, West end of E shed) for around $150...
...and you can run home in them
