The female french 1500m runner Hind Dehiba was busted at the border with EPO in January. Since then, she collaborated with the police and gave a long list of suspicious runners, agents, doctors which are being investigated at the moment...

yeah...and the IOC are thinking of kicking cycling out due to doping...Lets see them kick athletics out as well...It's just that cycling is trying to clean up its image...I dont think this is happening at the echelon of athletics, more likely swept under the carpet.....doping, unfortunately is in EVERY sport...the only thing they can do is LIFETIME bans and make all PROFESSIONAL athletes sign caveats that they give up 1+ years of salary if caught. The money earned from fines etc should go into better detection methods.

Stiil reckon lifetime ban and ability to be sued by sponsors for fraud, plus sued by other athletes they have stolen prizemoney from.

Also remember as a young slightly above average athlete, watching the world champs and thinking it was not worth considering attempting a professional career in athletics (as if there were a possibility....!) as I wasn't prepared to take drugs to get there, and it seemed that this was the only way you'd be able to compete at that level. I remember athletes like Raylene Boyle being duped by east germans/soviets etc....

Wonder how many genuinely talented Aussie athletes have thought the same and taken athletics less seriously over the years when they could've beaten the world's top clean athletes....

S'pose we'll never know.
