Has anyone got any ideas of some spikes that suit the 800m and possibly 400m aswell. im needing a new pair!
iv done a little looking around and iv picked out a few of interest....

Adidas - Cosmos MD 07
Mizuno - Atlanta
Nike - Zoom Miler

does anyone have any thoughts of what they think of these, or maybe any other spikes that they prefer.

A trip to Runner's World in High St Kew would be my suggestion, LOTS & LOTS of variety there and lots of various sizes. I was there a couple of weeks ago and they had all of the shoes that you mentioned above in old & new models.

The miler is a good spike. Also have a look at the Adidas Adistar MD and Asics Turbo Phantom are both good 400/800 spikes. They are closer to a sprint spike then some of the other MD spikes so would be better for the 400.

Happy shopping

Milers are good, have you considered the Nike Maxcats or Asics Turbophantoms?

You can't go past the Lanangs. The Lanangs are better than the miler as the miler causes the foot to pull inwards. Although the lanang has the same spike plate the upper is different and gives more support.

You can't go wrong with the lanangs. 2004 800m Olympic gold medalist wore them.

you can get them for $100.00 now.

try www.eastbay.com as well if you want variety. its best to do an order with a few people though and share the costs of shipping.

Miler's own Lanangs any day, the records for the mile, 1500m, 5000m and 10000m have all been run in the milers.

hi,
i hjave just purchased some new nike jana star waffles. i am kid doing 800m and was looking for some spikes. my mums boss- a good runner- suggested these for me as they are a good al rounder shoe and are very light. as i am a kid they might not suit you but are great for a young kid doing 8oom and cross country. ;)
